Re: Who is the most exciting in-game dunker in the NBA?
I think your problem goes much deeper than ability to read and goes to simple comprehension problems. Most exciting current dunker doesn't mean to pick a player who was the top dunker nearly a decade ago. In the OP it's implied that he means RIGHT NOW. That would be like me picking Jason Richardson.... and explaining that in 03 or w/e he was the best dunker.
I can care less about your personal preferences, just don't be a douchebag and pick a player who rarely dunks anymore.
Oh, how convenient for your argument that you put this in... now it all makes sense. Wait a second; that's not what the thread "implied". Read the title: "Who is the most exciting in-game dunker in the NBA?"
Vince Carter is in the NBA. What other qualifications does he need if you've seen half of this guy's career dunks? Maybe his most exciting ones weren't in this past year like Griffin's rookie season, but we aren't discussing "Who had the most exciting dunks this year?"

Such bad logic dude. MOST EXCITING IN GAME DUNKER IN THE NBA. It naturally implies CURRENT or RIGHT NOW. Let me ask you a question bud. If someone said who's the best player in the game would you say Kobe? Because Kobe recently was the best player and he's still in the league? No right? Exactly my point. You're logic has to be the worst I've seen on ISH and that's saying something. I should find the Derp Shark GIF for you.
Re: Who is the most exciting in-game dunker in the NBA?
If someone says who's the best shooter in the NBA... I'm going to say Peja Stojakovic. Why? Because he's still in the league! He may not be the best shooter as of last season but he was nearly a decade ago. I have to be being trolled right now because you can't possibly be this mentally challenged.
Re: Who is the most exciting in-game dunker in the NBA?
Man just quit it. It's all about how someone looks at the question. How does it hurt if someone mentions an older player. If you wanted it to be strictly someway then be specific.

This isn't a matter of perception. Like I said... if I asked you who the best shooter in the game is.. would it be logical to say Peja just because he's on a roster and USED to be the best? Even though he's not the best and rarely plays anymore? Look at the best dribbler thread. Nobody was retarded enough in that thread to name a past player or older player. It's just not logical. I'm not trying to box the dude into picking anyone specific but picking 99 Carter is just stupid to me.
Re: Who is the most exciting in-game dunker in the NBA?
HOW DOES IT HURT THE CONVERSATION??? Why are you so defensive about it? Is it cause one of the more obvious answers is Blake griffin and with the pool of all time dunkers being larger he'd get less mentions?

Hey if you guys want to give responses to a thread that are completely unrelated that's on you. I just didn't understand why he was justifying it as logical when it clearly wasn't. I'm all for thinking outside the box and all that.... but saying Vince Carter is so left field considering he hasn't been an elite dunker for 5 years.
Re: Who is the most exciting in-game dunker in the NBA?
You act like all of the responses on this forum make sense. Browse the threads around a little.Heck there was even friggen porn in this thread why not berate that person? Atleast there is some context in posting older dunkers.

So we need to reduce the quality of ISH further? Maybe I was a bit harsh about it..... but It's just a pet peeve when people don't read the question and answer with something completely left field. I've made similar mistakes but rather than defend them when called out... I say my bad.
Re: Who is the most exciting in-game dunker in the NBA?
Im sorry but what kind of question is this? I know we all have different preference and idea of what is exciting. But I think i can safely say that generally speaking we are all entertained by the in-game dunks of Blake Griffin; and he is doing it on a regular basis.
It's like the kings commenter always says, "if you dont like that you dont like NBA basketball!" Not that i dont like the dunks of wade and rose, blake just brings a level of dunking significantly higher than the available competition.

title didnt say "current nba player" it said "in the nba" vince carter is still in the nba. his answer isnt completely riduculous...not enough to bitch and moan and cry over, its understandable and possibly legit
Re: Who is the most exciting in-game dunker in the NBA?
Nah, Clippersfan86 is correct.
Saying, "Who is currently the most exciting dunker in the league?" is more or less the same thing as saying, "Who is the most exciting dunker in the league?" within the context of this discussion. "Is" is the present tense form of the verb, and "in the league" rather obviously refers to the current league. Correct? So it's pretty reasonable to assume that we're talking about the current players and their current dunking abilities.

Glad to see logic here. It's pretty obvious Jeff wanted us to base it off current dunking and not a decade ago.

you just proved me right.
its natural to assume we are talking about the present. But the title doesnt directly state "presently" or "currently" and its up for assumption. The poster assumed it was anyone in the nba and vince carter is still in the nba.
You kind of have to be a half whit yourself to get all bent over something understandable.
Re: Who is the most exciting in-game dunker in the NBA?
How about you use common sense Nathan. If his intent was to include players who were known for dunking a decade ago.. He would of mentioned an all time or best of last decade type list. Change the question a bit and you'll see the logic failure.
Who is the best shooter in the NBA? If I said Michael Redd or Peja Stojakovic based on the fact that 5 plus years ago they were among the best shooters.. Would that be logical to you? Given the material you post I'm guessing you'll answer yes unfortunately.
