Re: who thinks Kobe is still the best player on the Lakers?
If DWade ain't better than Kobe, then neither is Melo.
1) Bron
2) Durant
3) Dwight
4) Chris Paul
5) Kobe
I personally believe that Wade is currently a better player than Kobe, but there's no proof of that. All we can judge is recent performance, and Wade didn't have a great season last year. He wasn't healthy, but we can't go by hypothetical "if he was healthy" scenarios.

Carmelo Anthony did not average 8.2 rebounds last year.
basketball-reference.com has him at 6.3.
Re: who thinks Kobe is still the best player on the Lakers?
His 8,2 was in the playoffs (5 games) in 41 minutes a game
Isn't that what we're talking about?
This is your post that started this discussion.

Re: who thinks Kobe is still the best player on the Lakers?
Kobe is not the best player now, but he is the leader, the heart of the Lakers. It's his team, at least for now.

Yes, I understand the sample size.
I'm not saying Carmelo is definitively the better player. I'm just saying it's my opinion that I don't think Kobe will be the better player his 17th season in the league.
I believe Melo is in his prime years and Kobe is at least 3 or 4 years past his.
Re: who thinks Kobe is still the best player on the Lakers?
Marshmelo Anthony does do "other things" that Kobe doesn't do.
Like losing in the first round almost every year. lol

Oh my god the stupidness in your post ceases to amaze me.
First of all Carmelo played against the Heat with no good rebounder, second of all I used the playoff to show you Kobe could still can score efficiently on a high volume. Thirdly Carmelo only played 5 games so it wes unfair of me to use him but he has had even worse efficiency in previous years.
Kobe played twelve games so that's at least enough games. JH and RWB both played 20 games that's like a third of this years regular season so their stats also do them justice.
And even if he had more rebounds Kobe still was the better player.

The stats you just posted is what we've been discussing this whole time. the 2011-2012 season PLAYOFFS.

Can't disagree with you there. But so far Kobe past his prime has appeared to be better than most players in their prime. Things could change this year but I doubt it.

I didn't bring up Kobe and Melo's playoff stats. I didn't initiate this line of discussion. I'm just answering what was initially presented.
