Re: Dominique Wilkins: Kobe Bryant in his prime better all around player than Lebron
I think it's funny how the only people who say "Lebron is better at his peak and it's not even close" are Lebron stans and/or Kobe detractors. Never in my life have I heard a qualified and unbiased basketball mind say something like that. The vast majority of people will tell you it's VERY close. Lebron dick riders like Nash and pauk love to act like it's some kind of consensus.
"I like to combat bias with bias"
By all means, make an argument in which you can safely say Kobe Bryant peaked higher than LeBron.
Here's another question, are peak Jordan and peak Kobe close? What about Shaq?
Re: Dominique Wilkins: Kobe Bryant in his prime better all around player than Lebron
Domminique obviously dosen't know what he's talking about. He never once mentioned PER, TS % or Win Shares. I doubt he's qualified to talk on the NBA
Re: Dominique Wilkins: Kobe Bryant in his prime better all around player than Lebron
Prime Kobe was a better defender, far more skilled scorer and can still drop 6 dimes and 6 rebounds.

Re: Dominique Wilkins: Kobe Bryant in his prime better all around player than Lebron
I don't know if I'd agree. I like Kobe better, but I think LeBron is the clear pick here IMO (not an indictment of Kobe though, who was a BEAST).
I guess it depends what you value though. Give either a good supporting cast and you'll be in great shape.

Re: Dominique Wilkins: Kobe Bryant in his prime better all around player than Lebron
Of course Nique would say this: he was an inefficient chucker himself.
Re: Dominique Wilkins: Kobe Bryant in his prime better all around player than Lebron
I read it and it sounded to me that he said that Kobe back in his prime, say in 2006 was better than Lebron in 2006, and that Lebron now in 2013 is better than Kobe in 2013. So he didn't really give an answer of prime for prime.
Here's what he said:
Kobe in his prime was probably the better all around player, but LeBron has taken over that title.
A career 46% shooter and over 80% from the line is an inefficient chucker? ok

Exactly! Those shooting percentages aren't inefficient at all. To an extent, I think FG% can be overrated at times.

That's what Nique was trying to say u r right. Kobe in 2006 was better than Bron. Bron didn't have the defense down the way he does today. And let's face it, it was only Bron's third year in the L while Kobe was at his peak years basically. Nique made an on point assessment to me. Kobe was in the L 7 years before Bron got there. It's not like they are under three years apart.
Re: Dominique Wilkins: Kobe Bryant in his prime better all around player than Lebron
Again, if he wanted to say Lebron was better, he would have just named Lebron. No need to talk about Kobe's prime. Reason he did is to show that Kobe's prime was the better of both players. However, at this point, naturally Lebron has taken over.
Oh Jameer give it up, your kiddy girls will cheer you up i'm sure.

And if he thought Kobe was better, he would just say it. He wouldn't dance around it with this "well, Kobe was better, but then LeBron was better".
Your thread failed.

isn't it naturally to clear it up as today Lebron is in his prime and Kobe is not? He wouldn't want to make a statement to mislead people to think He'd take today's Kobe over today's Lebron. :confusedshrug:
There is no reason to say what he said if he wanted to say Lebron. Use your heads. But then you're a lebron stan.. doubt you have one. "statsstatsstats" is all you know.

Isn't it naturally(:wtf:) to clear up it up as saying when Kobe was in his prime LeBron wasn't yet?
Again, stop playing dumb. You know god damn well what people are saying. Nobody is being vague. Nobody is claiming he said LeBron is better. Everyone who isn't retarded can see he simply avoided giving a straight answer.
