Fact is, TLOU & U2 has better overall critic scores & user scores than the best MGS title out there. Both games won GOTY.

Heck, I read an article on IGN last year where they rated the best PS3 titles. Uncharted 2 & TLOU were top 3, Sons of Patriots didn't even make top 20. :oldlol:

These are all articles written by IGN.
It's a stupid way to evaluate two games though. It's written by either 1 editor or by a group of workers for a company.

It's far more telling if you evaluate the aggregate scores from a plethora of websites. Which is what sites like metacritic and gamerankings actually do.

Halo's gaming industry impact was GOAT tier... literally brought to life the Xbox console and made it a legit contender to Playstation. You need more than stats to be GOAT tier. You need Real world IMPACT.

Halo 1's score on there is flawed because they have a handful of reviews from 2004/2005, when the game came out in 2001. The gaming industry is constantly evolving in capabilities, graphics and function.... Games need to be judged in their respective era, from the critical stand point (reviews/scores) and the Real World Impact...

When you carry a console on your back, you know that game is GOAT tier.

i've done this to death, but it was not groundbreaking by any means. mgs 3 made me way more emotional, had better characters, and mgs 2 blew my mind. tlou did neither. it was just a cool post-apocalyptic game to me, not the messiah of all gaming.
