Re: So California has mandatory lockdowns, mask wearing, and closures
I dont know why everyones complaining. There were only 2 options and we chose this.
It was either a full china style lockdown or a prolonged half ass lockdown.
China style lockdown would have taken our freedoms away for a month. This is better right?
If a country does a full lockdown in a whole year for the sake of eradicating the virus completely, then there's a big chance that lots of people will die from starvation instead unless their government can supply them food and many of their basic needs, although that is very far from being feasible.

No country does a full lockdown for a full year. China did it for about a month. And then when the virus came back they quickly did it again on the specific infected city.

Ofc they'll get bankrupt if they do, especially when the economy comes to a standstill.

That's my point. Countries that did strict full lockdowns have been fully opened for months already.
Whereas we have no end in sight unless we vaccinate everyone.
Isnt it ironic that our "freedom" fighting mentality will eventually force mandated vaccines on us?

It's a matter of fighting for the will to live.
If it can be balanced out (up to 50% in lockdowns only), then why not. After all, people work almost daily to satisfy their needs everyday. They can't just stay home to stand by and do nothing 24/7 all of a sudden.
And i believe they will prioritize in giving the vaccines to those who are most vulnerable by it, to the ones living in areas where the virus became dense until there is no transmission anymore, as in completely none.
This is what the world is trying to achieve rn so not everyone will get it for most instances.

Re: So California has mandatory lockdowns, mask wearing, and closures
So when we are locked in our playpen, what happens to the homeless? Hurricane Katrina them? Then release a fresh new batch of homeless that lost their businesses/homes?
The needs of the many only outweigh the needs of the few, if the many are bettering the world, not destroying it by turning it into a communist prison system demanding everyone follow in line.
Maybe this whole civil war thing is needed. Let's face it, the world is overpopulated and in the U.S.'s case, the midwest doesn't want to be China. All of these democrat rat box cities want to tell southern midwest country mountain desert people how to live. We good, bruh. We ain't want it.
Youtube seems to have removed video of homeless man during Katrina saying he ain't going into that empty Walmart fema camps cause they offing the homeless inside.
They also removed the video of antifa dude getting cracked in the skull with a rubber bullet.

Good luck with the civil war. Civilians with guns vs. the U.S. military?
Sometimes you just gotta accept this is the world we live in and try to make the best of your time here.

China took stadiums and forcefully threw people into those stadiums and made them stay there for weeks. Literally abducting them from their homes because they were in "contact" with infected people.
What do you think would happen if Trump used the military to round up people, throw them in vans, and housed them in stadiums during March?

Which western country in Europe or North America "defeated" Corona even with strict full lockdowns? None.

Corona would be under control. Let’s face it. America is in the situation it’s in because it was unwilling to do the necessities early on. Just went to a concert Saturday. Even tho we have no local spread everybody still wore masks. It’s about disease prevention - not doing these things when the virus is already everywhere and out of control.

Re: So California has mandatory lockdowns, mask wearing, and closures
You would have a civil war if Trump did that.
Don't get it twisted. Doing what it took to really shut down corona was far and above what the public would have accepted back in March.
