LeBron James has nothing to do with this. He was 18 years old playing as well as or better than Carmelo Anthony. Clark didn't skip college, she came in at the age of 22. Whether the rest of the league is "slugs" or not she's not the best player currently and people that have actually followed women's basketball generally say that although very good she's not the best rookie they've ever seen. Kyrie Irving is more entertaining than Tim Duncan. Most certainly has not been the better player. You guys keep on conflating entertainment value with accomplishment. Not the same thing.

I actually watched most of the game last night and I think those are correlated. Teams seeming to be really selling out on not letting her get good looks from 3 so she's making them pay in other ways.

Maybe, and she gets to the rim now. But she doesn't need to take that many 3s to keep the threat level up. She always seems to pull one early, and it shows how she can get it off at any time vs any D, so it's not like they are really forcing her off that shot. It's exciting that she can play 'so well' when she is broke, though, but I don't understand why she is broke. 2/9 is actually really bad and if she shot OK, they might have won. That's just real.

Perhaps, but it's really as you mentioned to keep the threat level up. They are still difficult shots that we shouldn't really expect to be made at a high clip.

The problem last night was the defense. I'm not a huge WNBA guy obviously but generally speaking when you score 93 points I think you can expect to win the game.
