Re: Someone took shots at Trump
Jesus christ. TDS is a strange illness.
Anyways, this is a fascinating event. Trump, the most scrutinized man in American political history, once again comes out nearly unscathed. Inches from getting JFK'd, had the sense of awareness to
triumphantly stick his fist in the air with blood splattered poetically on his ear and head, making for what will inevitably be one of the most iconic photos in history.
Trump already won the election weeks ago, which is almost certainly what spawned this lunatics attempt at assassination, but this may end up leading to an even larger landslide victory. Probably will get the popular vote as well.
Dems are down bad. Cartoonishly bad.

hmmm…
Dems threw all the rules out the window. You reap what you sow.
...Think critically here. If you poll the planet, and ask everyone who they'd like to shoot and kill, the US president would probably be the biggest name on the list, for the past 80 years at least.
They are the most obvious targets for violence possible. There's an entire federal agency dedicated to keeping them alive for a reason.
Them getting attacked is simply not a surprise, even if it's partisan, it's still not partisan, because of the nature of the position.
However, we do live in stupid, highly conflicted times. So people will think like you, and ironically manifest a retaliation, even though, presidents are just obvious targets no matter who they are. And when it is. On a lot of levels, from a lot of angles.
Re: Someone took shots at Trump
The news is definitely highly culpable but something that can't be understated (while also not nearly talked about enough) is that mental illness is absolutely rampant.
Obviously most of those mental illnesses don't ever lead a person to violence much less a shooting like this, but it is everywhere all the time and for various reasons nobody is caring to figure out.
If someone is not in their right frame of mind, they don't see that they're dying and/or flat out don't give a **** in this situation. Again, not trying to paint a picture that mental illness and violence go hand in hand when the majority of the time they do not in any way, shape or form. My point is people are out of their minds more than ever for reasons we still can't figure out. Then that's where the shithead news outlets come in, feeding this shit to people in a polarized, endless doom loop and speaking directly to the 1% of the ill that would ever have an inclination to do such a thing. That 1% is a lot of people. It's a tragedy really.
The reasons for the rise in mental health issues is pretty well known, the problem is realistic solutions are in very limited supply.
For one thing there's just more people than ever and more reporting than ever. So total incidences will naturally be higher and more visible than ever.
The other issue is humanity's evolutionary roots, like all other creatures, are in surviving precarious physical environments. Our psyches are wired to be preoccupied first and foremost with survival pretty much 'round the clock.
The vast majority of people in human history were eking out a living day by day. Nobody had time to scrutinize their purpose or their place in society. Nor was such opportunity readily available, given how isolated people were with no vehicles, no phones, no computers. Information was limited and survival challenges were perpetual. There was very little to think about.
Today it's fully the opposite. Few survival threats exist in the developed world. Rather society is a physical and digital rat cage in which everyone is crammed and new information and stimuli bombard us nonstop. Some are better suited to it than others, but many just cant adapt. We arent designed to live this way psychologically, yet at the same time we're designed to seek the physical safety this way provides. The reason most dont just walk away and live in the woods is our natural biological instincts are to avoid physical danger. The tradeoff has become an artificial environment packed with mental stressors.
Re: Someone took shots at Trump
If I were a leftist I'm begging this to be staged or by an actor on the right to make him look good because damn Trump came out looking like a G. Just like his mugshot. Dude looked more pissed than shook after getting plugged in the face

Re: Someone took shots at Trump
Imo it’s not fake because the way he was pumping his fist was primal. He was a bit shocked. Trump is generally unflappable. He was a little off there. No idea what hit his ear tho, something.
-Smak
It played out on camera. We saw and heard the gunshots and someone died.
The fact its even up for debate for some people is just an indictment on how unbelievably stupid the general public is. Especially those suffering from TDS, who instantly jump to irrational conspiracies to coddle their world view. "Trump stood up after getting shot and almost killed, and handled it like someone with courage?! Must be staged!" :lol

This is the hero that killed the shooter (who was seemingly an Antifa turd; not confirmed).
Well done Sir. Well done. :applause:
