Re: Trump kicks Zelensky out of the White House.
So, what is the end game then? Russia just takes over the planet by threatening to suicide bomb the world?
Are you people ****ing stupid? You don’t negotiate with terrorists. Moron ****ing Trump who’s never learned foreign policy a day in his life, doesn’t understand this and is free styling the ****ing thing and treating it like it’s a shitty low level business deal. ****ing minerals.
Russia has violated so many agreements, ceasefire after ceasefire, committed countless crimes in every possible way you can imagine. There is no ****ing peace deal with them.
And if you just give them Ukraine, guess what **** nuts? They will be bordering 5 MORE NATO countries through their annexation of Ukraine. Which kind of defeats this whole bullshit argument about NATO being a ‘threat’. Their incursion is only getting closer to NATO. Realistically, Russia is blatantly an imperialistic shithole country full of weak, low character individuals(much like US conservatives), that is on a death race for world domination one way or another. And placating them for a few years, and allowing them to rebuild is a guaranteed disaster for the planet.
This. And also bad-faith trolls.
Re: Trump kicks Zelensky out of the White House.
Let's say you're right. Vance is still just the VP. Even if you hate Trump, you have to admit Zelensky was incredibly stupid to draw the ire of Trump by promising him that our country will be invaded soon. Trump was kinda just watching them both go at it up until then.
Trump never likes Zelenskyy at the first place. Remember when he tried to make Zelenskyy blackmailing Biden and failed? Seeing how Trump's 2nd term is the "Revenge Tour", Zelenskyy clearly is on the list.
It was a shakedown and Trump offered Ukraine nothing including guaranteed security for "peace" that Russia will eventually break again, they probably already knew the deal wouldn't be done.
I hope I’m wrong but I really don’t understand why a German would be watching this thinking it’s cute. If shit hits the fan, which it very well seems it is. Germany will be Russia’s end game to the war this is about to start.
Germany will be the prize. They invade Poland, terrorize Finland, and try to stomp through Romania and co, but Germany is the end game.
Germany doesn’t even have nukes. They almost certainly look to get their own arsenal at this rate. Which is almost certainly going to make the planet tremendously more dangerous.
It’s insane the regression Trump has caused geopolitically. And insane how stupid and comfortable people are taking world peace for granted.
Yeah, I also don't understand people applauding Vance for his freedom of speech tirade, while both Vance and the Trump/Vance zealots gloom over Russia where publicly saying "Putin sucks" or "There is a war in Ukraine" will get you killed.
Re: Trump kicks Zelensky out of the White House.
How did he "kick him out" btw?
This didnt really happen?
Anyway, still in amazement over this.
This is how we should see politicians talk with each other. Openly and authentically.

You should know that anything those people side with is bullshit, maybe even more-so than the people in congress who side with Trump. All of those dudes (and women) made a name for themselves by being ****ing clowns. I respect(ed?) Bernie, but he says some clowny shit. I think he has convictions, though.
The part that bothers me is even though I believe this is somewhat STAGED, it's an interesting historical event. It's really sad that people come down on either side of propaganda. I can't believe all the people on Reddit calling Zel a true hero, etc. It's like haha.
To me, I wish Vance hadn't interjected. Trump felt the need to get stronger because dude disrespected Vance.
Zel should have never said:
Russia did stuff in 2016 when you were pres (he wasn't pres in 2016 haha.)
You aren't doing more than Europe.
We don't compromise with killers.
We fought alone...
and that shit where he was like, "You guys will feel it, soon." I think that was the hugest land mine. Trump was actually pissed. He was red through his orange.
As for Trump, I wouldn't have pushed him. Holy shit. I wouldn't have dissed his clothes upon seeing him (they are feuding tho, not the time for petty bs,) and he could have worded stuff a lot differently. You can respond to Zel's confrontation by being real but also supportive.
They wanted that to happen for some reason. There was a lot of tension in the room. Zel was shaking even starting out. He actually looked more comfortable confronting Trump. I really do think that confronting people is never the answer. He said some super wild shit like that he thinks Russia should pay them. Trump also doesn't wanna say exactly what he's gonna do, but I do buy the argument if we got the minerals that they would be protected at least until we got them out. That would give Europe and them plenty of time to build up a force and plan.
Zel played it like he had all the power. I don't think he does. I think people are gonna cheer him on and use him to attack Trump, but I doubt even Europe supports them if we don't. It would be nice to see the EU step up and handle this themselves. Trump said what he would do. Zel didn't like it. Move on, then.
But this was BS. BS questions from reporters, instigating. Super surprised at how pissed Trump got, though. He definitely dressed a lot of people down, in his career, but he lost it in this situation. I HOPE that's because he cares. haha. I am one of those people who still kinda think Trump cares. Everyone says he doesn't, but there's just so much shit that make it seem like he does. Sure, he wants money and he might be super selfish, but he still seems to care about getting shit together. I think he realizes that it's best for everyone.

Re: Trump kicks Zelensky out of the White House.
Trump's mineral deal makes a lot of sense to me if the goal is to end the war and have lasting peace. However, it seems the deal doesn't include explicit security guarantee, just that "US would have vested interest therefore motivating them to support Ukraine's security." I can understand why Zelensky rejected this deal. If I'm to give up such a significant amount of my country's assets, it better come with concrete defense commitment from the US.

We've already given Ukraine 350bil dollars AND a lot of weapons. I'd say the U.S has given them plenty of security over the last 3yrs. Now it's time for Z to start repaying. If Trump was expecting 100% of the minerals instead of the 50% the 2 countries had agreed on, then I'd understand Z's hesitation.

If I were Zelensky, I'd not accept it without explicit security guarantee from the US.

They could do it out of the public as many international deals did. Somebody wants to humiliate Zelenskyy to the world. There are few obvious candidates.

Europe is doing more. Total aid US that has been allocated to Ukraine reportedly is around 100-120B Euro while Europe has spent a little more than US so far plus around $100B Euro to be allocated in the future.

Technically correct. Otherwise there would be foreign troop deployments backing up Ukraine a long time ago.

I think both parties have already known the current deal would likely fell through. The whole meeting was about shaking down and humiliating Zelenskyy. Zelenskyy stood his ground and Trump and company didn't the results they really wanted.

He only cares people who either are loyal to him or pay him. That's it. Cutting essential fed services definitely is not best for every Americans, for one.
Re: Trump kicks Zelensky out of the White House.
i know the american people want to back their president in this kerfuffle, but let's just be honest....vance is inbred. Zelensky opened the meeting by thanking Trump, 30 mins later, Vance (Inbred VP), escalates by asking if Zlensky has thanked America in an accusatory tone. sheesh.

I feel like Zelensky was the one who went there first. He was shaking in the beginning like he was already pissed. Maybe they already had words.

I dunno who to believe about the money number, either. Everyone is lying as far as I am concerned. Maybe it's equal, then, or close, but what do you say about the difference in loan amount?
Also, I was in shock (even tho like I said I think it was theater,) somewhat after watching that shit, but the more I think about it, the more I think that Zel really was being a dickwad. You can say shit should be equal, but it's not. He is coming here to ask a favor and basically implied that if we don't help him that we are gonna feel the consequences. And that was when Trump was like FOH. It probably is true, to be fair, but you don't rile people like that.
Seems like the mineral deal was never going to be signed at that event, and I imagine they will come together and do SOMETHING by the end of weekend, but if they don't... I guess it's whatever.
Again, you don't go in and say we were there alone when we gave them the weapons and probably intel. You don't go in and say we didn't do more than Europe. It's just bad diplomacy, despite what the facts are. You can be gracious. Trump is a hard ass, but Zel should have known how it was gonna go down. I think this was all a scheme, but I can't figure out if it was by Trump or by Zel's bros. There are two camps. Maybe they both did performances. You got all the Democrats + EU, then you got the Republicans and (probably?) Americans. I think everyone wants a positive outcome, but Zel is wiling if he thinks that Putin is gonna like apologize and pay him and give him his land back. Haha. It's like you grab someone by their shirt and drag them in after beating your kid's ass. You could be like APOLOGIZE and such, but more likely, you'd just say stop it... don't do it again. Putin will get his punishment over time.
If I haven't already said it, I really think Russia grows stronger during war, so it's just bad look over all. We shall see.
Edit: Zel also said Putin was using ballistic missiles while they were there as proof that he didn't want the war to stop, but I think that he is probably doing it to encourage them to stop the war haha. It depends on your viewpoint.
