i was like wtf is he doing when I saw him try his "moves" last night. He needs to dedicate a lot of time in practice and more specifically in the off-seasons to work on this. Last night was just embarrassing.

His "post-game" last night was utterly hilarious. I think even Reggie said something about it.

We gotta start giving the refs more credit around here. They did call him for a travel last night, and it was in the final seconds of the game. I'm pretty sure Lebron would have made a 5-point shot to tie the game, had they not called it.

I mean this in the nicest way possible: It's embarrassing to watch LeBron try and post up. His court awareness drops to like a one and he looks like a malfunctioning robot.

Re: LeBron says he's ready to "dust off" post game in Bosh absence
I have to say Lebron pretty much shut anybody up who said he had no or extremly sucky post game (Phong) with his post game today, his face-up & back to the back basket was very efficient down there, he got alot of assists from the post aswell, great work, he still needs to tune it up somewhat though, i just wish he would go down there more often.
Posting up Jose Calderon and Julian Wright...
http://espn.go.com/blog/truehoop/miamiheat/post/_/id/3950/lebron-james-mans-his-post
This season, James has scored points on exactly 50 percent of his 56 post-up plays that resulted in a shot attempt or foul, according to Synergy Sports. Last season, that number was 58 percent. In fact, no player in the league with a minimum of 100 shot attempts in the post generated a higher point of possession on post plays than James did in 2009-10. Bosh ranked second, with Dirk Nowitzki, Zach Randolph and Tim Duncan rounding out the Top 5.
So how many attempts were made and didn't result in a bail out call or a massive turnover? Ofcourse Lebron is going to have a high % when he posts up mismatches all the time, he's 260 lbs of speed and strength the high % is not surprising. The fact he always screws up against actual defenses and misses the easiest of shots is baffling.
Still he made a hook shot against Toronto...

He tries to play the part of a finesse big man when all he has to do is bully his way into the paint. Develop a drop step, hook shot, and be able to make them with either hand and he's golden. Players always look so afraid of him when he's in the post. They're never physical with him. Lol

He should start by actually looking at the basket when he takes a shot.

Sure, but thats what i mean. We need a Lebron version of Phong, just for fun i mean. :)
So that he can also accumulate 1000 GIF's from every missed attempt of Kobe aswell, so that Phong and whoever can have their own battle, right now its kindof one sided, boring. :P

One minor? Not really. He's got to work on several things and that'll be taken care of in the off-season. This staff he's been training with in Miami haven't thought him shit. Lebron now should have to go to players to get post-up advice.

Lebron didnt hit anything last night, not any layup or open jumpshot, the good looks he got from posting up he missed aswell, he was simply off, the post didnt change much as he was completely off, you miss shots in the post to sorry to say, there is inconsistancy there to even with the best post players. Did you watch the previous game where his post game was excellent?
Its funny how your post game is good when you hit the shots there, but terrible when you miss even though you take ridicilously easy shots that simply roll out...

Re: LeBron says he's ready to "dust off" post game in Bosh absence
Lebrons post game is trash, hopefully he goes and learns from hakeem in the off season. Hakeem has done wonders for dwight and kobe in the post.
-
Re: LeBron says he's ready to "dust off" post game in Bosh absence
My point is simply that Lebron has an average/ok post game and at his size as a perimeter player its more than enough to cause damage considering its always a smaller or weaker defender guarding him, he only needs to start going there more often so he can get comfortable, he rarely ever goes to post somebody up because he doesnt need to, his face up game is much more effective as he blows by anybody, he doesnt need to toy around with posting somebody up, hence the inconsistancy and comfort when he finally decides to go there, the only reason he goes there more often now is because the lack of offensive post presence (Bosh is injured) and the fact that he is playing PF and also probably because he wants to "dust-off" his post game as he said (which probably means improve his post game).
Think of this analogy, you are 6'9 and you are faster, more powerfull and more athletic than anybody at your position, would you post somebody up... or would simply just blow by him and jump over everybody else behind him? So i understand why he didnt / doesnt post up so much, but at the same time he needs to work on the post game asap, it will make him much more deadlier.
