Help draft rosters for the ISH end of season awards

He did alot of good things with this forum. I think he should have gotten a warning. Not a complete embarrassing removal. The thread was kinda low that he made none the less. It was about Bourne. But amazingly Bourne wasn't the one to report it.

BTW part a mods job is to keep their forum clear of negativity from non members. He tolerated bashing on the Nets board for a while. That was what he was doing and got aggravated in the process. While I do believe that the mods have a high standard themselves to uphold, they are human and can fall to the same argumentive ways us normal posters sometimes land in. but me personally I wouldn't have "snitched " on him. What he posted was in the Nets board and if you don't respect the folks in the Nets board there would have been no way to be offended enough to tell if you were not there in the first place.

good intentions. but during All Star voting, bandwidth exceeded after a few hours, so I had to buy bandwidth to keep it going. and I purchased a few bucks worth of it to last until May. I'll probably purchase more next year during All STar weekend again.

i'll be making the polls sometime next week. I won't actually allow voting yet, but just to set it up and see if people like the layout, etc...

Could i nominate myself for "rookie poster of the year??"

now as for the layout:


Everyone who was on the ISH All Star Ballots will be in the running for All ISH 1st, 2nd, and 3rd Teams. The Top 15 Vote Getters will make the teams.

the MVP Vote will only be given to the ISH All Stars and the Hall of Famers (the only ones relevant would be Jeff as INSIDEHOOPS and the ones from the Second Hall of Fame ballot which never really got discussed)

since we only have 20 rookies, there will only be All ISH Rookie Team 1 and 2. The top vote getter will also be RoY.


Moderator of the Year will be on its own. Top vote getter gets the honors. (list looks thin, but I'll go thru all the forums and make sure all mods get on it)

6th Poster of the Year also looks thin, but I'll go through the forums and add more people.

MWP (Most Worthless Poster) will include everyone on the ISH Hall of Shame ballots.




and I am only making the ballots for show, so improvements can be made, more people added, layout changed...


actual voting will begin on April 1st and go through the first day of NBA Playoffs.

anyway:




I was debating something.


Shuld I make the votes simple? Top 15 vote getters make it? but the con to that is with so many eligible posters, the typical voter may vote randomly because it may become an eyesore to go through such large rosters.


so I was thinking: the All ISH Teams will have three ballots. One for First Place Votes, one for Second Place Votes, and one for Third Place Votes. they will be worth 5, 2, 1 points respectively.


then the Top 15 point sums make the teams with the highets making the higher teams. at least that gives more of an incentive to vote well and right.


though the cons to that is particular posters can get all three votes...


the only way to really solve this is to put 1st, 2nd, 3rd votes on one ballot itself, yet i don't want to have to pay for that feature...

all right. I am currently making the polls and loading them now. voting won't begin for a while but I'll probably be busy as hell as the semester winds down (no senioritis for me in college, as I gotta complete some easy credits to meet my commencement quota)


and I need more 6th Poster candidates. that'll be the last thing I upload. Keep em coming guys.

Man, what a harsh season of fantasy basketball for me. Injuries and suspensions killed me this year. But don't worry, I'll be back to whoop you next season. I'll have to make the ISH Superleague a continuing group. There is way too many great posters in there not to.

I had a bad start, but I haven't been beaten since early in the season. Plus I don't know why I held on to Damon Jones and Reggie Evans so long. But i'm on a roll now. I'm taking names!
