How am i a uncharted fanboy? I enjoy the game but i haven't been defending to the ends of the earth, if you don't like it, you don't like it.
It doesn't affect me in the slightest what so ever.
Better question would be how aren't you?

Re: Uncharted 4: A Thief's End - Countdown
Guys, I updated the OP.
There's a multiplayer trailer released yesterday.
Not sure what to think of it, looks crazy fun but confusing at the same time. The action just seems so fast, feels overwhelming a bit.
-
Re: Uncharted 4: A Thief's End - Countdown
Shit multiplayer
Halo multi >

It looks less like an actual gameplay video and more like a cinematic. I really loved the multiplayer beta they released for UC2. Give me a better version of that and I'm sold.
-
Re: Uncharted 4: A Thief's End - Countdown
Also, apparently multiplayer will have micro transactions. Lol. Everybody would be crying and whining if this was Ubisoft.

Ubisoft put microtransactions in the single player though and that's worse. I'm not too fussed on the multiplayer so long as the campaign is great I'll be happy.
-
Re: Uncharted 4: A Thief's End - Countdown
Depends on how you look at it. Using microtransactions in single player only help you finish the game easier, and in turn just ruin the experience for you. Buying upgrades in MP will give you a clear advantage over others.

I usually agree. It bothers me putting micro transactions in CS and halo multi player but uncharted for me has never been about the multiplayer so I don't care as much. Still annoying but I know I'll never be too invested in the mode anyway as to me it's more of a single player game so it's not as big an issue for me. You're right though if it were ubisoft people would be attacking regardless of if it's an issue to them or not.

Correction: Only in one game mode in Halo
And it is very balanced

I did say cs and halo's multi player.

Re: Uncharted 4: A Thief's End - Countdown
I dabbled in UC3 multiplayer and found it fun, looking to get into UC4. My most enjoyable multiplayer actually came in Max Payne 3. That shit was tight

Only one game mode (Of multiplayer)

Re: Uncharted 4: A Thief's End - Countdown
Uncharted 4 is a story-driven game, it's basically opposite of Halo, Call of Duty or other titles that are multi-player driven.
It really will have little impact on me. I just hope the story is rich and interesting.

Re: Uncharted 4: A Thief's End - Countdown
Uc3 shows where tlou got its ai problems from. Enemy just runs right at you like they want to die and takes cover next to you still in your line of sight just waiting to die. Got the same aim issues and cover hit boxes bigger than they should physically be as tlou too.

You play Uncharted once, you've played it a hundred times.
Boring gameplay.

Can say that about a lot of good games. Uncharted one and two are great.

Jesus you guys need to chill out. Enjoy the games. The more the better for us, no?
They need to make an all in one disc and god of war needs to do that too. I'd buy it for sure.

God of war did that didn't they? Pretty sure at least the first 2 got done on ps4 but they didn't hold up as well

This is so unnecessary.
Uncharted, the most linear, movie-like, game series in the world, has RPG dialogue options now? :oldlol: :wtf:
It seems like they added them in just for the sake of it.

It's Naughty Dog, who are absolute geniuses. I'm sure they have a good reason for it.
Uncharted 4 looks like it has pretty open level design from what I've seen btw.
Best developer in the industry. They just keep upping the ante. This is their first game originally designed for the PS4 too...now just imagine the sequel to The Last of Us. That will be mind blowing.

You can't just give them a pass on stupid things because they've made good games before.
Dialogue options on an Uncharted game is plain stupid. They saw Witcher and Fallout, and thought they could put stuff from those games into theirs.

Shade, can you get lost?
This is an Uncharted thread, we get it; you don't like the game.
Yet this clown will google its news more than its fans just to try and find something negative to say about it.
Those 4 minutes looked epic and the branching dialogue adds options to an already stellar franchise.
Please STFU.

Re: Uncharted 4: A Thief's End - Countdown
On the subject of bringing Drake's story to a close in Uncharted 4, here's what co-director Neil Druckmann told GameSpot back in June:
"The first three games were the set-up, and if we were to do one more, how would we top it all off? How would we bring Nathan Drake's journey to a close? Everything we're doing [with Uncharted 4] is constructed towards that: bringing closure to a very long journey."
I am so excited.
Less than 4 months away!!!

Re: Uncharted 4: A Thief's End - Countdown
Wow, that should definitely build some hype. I didn't realize this was meant to be the last one.
I have to say Arkham Knight was looked at the same way when Rocksteady announced it would be the last one. Look at how that turned out...

sorry, i didnt know this was the fvcking uncharted circlejerk thread.
i dont think they're perfect games by any means like you, but i sure do like them. ill gladly be picking up uncharted 4 the first day(s) it comes out, but just because i can point out and make a deal of a problem when i see one doesnt mean i hate the games. come on now.
branching dialogue is very out of place in the type of game uncharted is. that's my worry with the guys working on this, they seem to be going a very different direction from the amy henning trilogy (one of the best trilogies in gaming mind you), and it's not just me thinking that, nolan north said the same damn thing. some of the changes ive seen are great, some of them are pointless and bad like this.
we'll see in march. i still think it'll be a great game, but im a little cautious right now.

This game looks way better than Uncharted 2, to be honest.
I just watched 2 separate videos; the first time Nate & his brother meet at his work and the ball scene (where they introduce the new villain).
I have yet to see better graphics and am excited as hell for this game.
The branching options are minor and I'm sure they will play apart in the conclusion of the series.
By the way, I've already told you Amy was never the genius behind Uncharted. She was the lead in U1 & U3. The guy who is the director for U4 was the director for U2 & TLOU.
Two much better games.
But it doesn't matter, I'm not about to argue with you again.
MGS V was a success; as gamers, we should both hope that U4 is a big success as well.

Re: Uncharted 4: A Thief's End - Countdown
I'm worried it'll be like UC3 which had some serious gameplay issues. Still don't understand how you go from 2 being close to perfect to 3 having glaring issues. Hope I'm wrong though because I'm really pumped for this.

Re: Uncharted 4: A Thief's End - Countdown
The frame rate looks dodgy with it's drops. Not a completely smooth play

One of my complaints about the ps4. Some of the multi plats run at higher frame rates but they aren't locked so can drop further and are more noticeable. Guess it's a trade off of a locked lower rate or an unlocked higher rate.

U3 was still a great ass game though, despite its glaring weaknesses.
Plus, Amy isn't the lead for U4.
The guys who were developing U2 & TLOU are in charge of U4.
I'm pumped.
It's ****ing tax season in March too, so I know I'll be working 70+ hours a week at KPMG.

another delay
may 10 is new release
where is west-side gone?

Re: Uncharted 4: A Thief's End - Countdown
I'm right here hoe.
Back just in time for this epic to release.
Pretty much every single source, even the ones who gave Uncharted 4 a lower score than TLOU / Uncharted 2, admitted this is ND's best game and the best Uncharted game to date. The only reason they couldn't give it a higher score had to do more with innovation and originality.
Still 94 on metacritic, already 24 perfect reviews. No mixed reviews at all.
Lowest score is an 80.
