Great pick with Drazen
Thanks, I had been eyeing him these past few rounds.

i'm wondering how far people are going be willing to reach for possibly even role player types just because they excel at rebounding, defense, and/or shooting
Thanks, I had been eyeing him these past few rounds.

good pick drazen, but i don't know how much euro basketball effect about and what ifs ,Sabonis will be god :pimp:
Whitsitt asked Portland’s team physician, Dr. Robert Cook, to take a look at Sabonis’ X-rays before he arrived. Cook asked Whitsitt if he was sure his new player could play. “He said that Arvydas could qualify for a handicapped parking spot based on the X-ray alone,” Whitsitt said. ven before he came over to the NBA, Sabonis was slowed down by two ruptured Achilles and an assortment of foot, ankle, and knee injuries. The first occurred at the age of 22, in 1986, the same year Portland drafted Sabonis 24th overall.

Yeah, you definitely have to have a right balance of picking the most talented players and drafting lesser players that fill your team needs like shooting, defense etc.
The early 4th round is when you saw people drafting shooters like crazy, wasn't expecting that.

there's another strategy which you as coach could just ask your stars to scale back their shot attempts. At least for my team i dont think i'm terrible personality wise(dray and shaq are both lazy for the unimportant games so wont call each other out lol). West will likely have to be a heavy spot up shooter. Hopefully his pnr with green can have some resemblance to curry/green even though west isnt a pnr guy.
in the all NBA format, defensive stats stand out. in the 10-man format, the edge is given to the steals department. In consideration of era, offensive rebound is the principle.
lol, McGrady shot 39% from 3 in '03. LeBron shot 41% from 3 in 2013 and by that time improved his jumper tremendously. And we all know Garnett is money from mid-range, hitting 43% from 16-23 feet in 2004. You also forgot Manu who shot 40% from 3 in 2008. My spacing is fine.
Barkley is a prototype PF, and M. Malone is a true center. It's weird seeing them all out of position. Seeing Barkley defend on the perimeter will be comedy.
It's all good.
I have 5 MVP level players now. All I need to do is fill out the roster with the parts I need.
I could have Kareem & CP3 starting and Moses & Harden rotating in off the bench. They don't need to play out of position. Then at all times I have top 25 ATGs at the 1 and 5.
As for Barkley playing at SF. He did it for three seasons at Philly with Rick Mahorn / Armen Gilliam starting at PF. In 1990 he was MVP playing at SF.
I'm going with 15 Kyle Korver.
Shot 50% from 3 that season and was also decent defensively that year
Perfect off ball spot up shooter
About to get another defensive player of the year winner for my next pick

3 out of you 5 picks so far never made an All-D team... you've got some work to do.

You're over emphasizing defense that you're forgetting systems. Not every succesful team is gonna have all defense at 5 positions.
You're over emphasizing defense that you're forgetting systems. Not every succesful team is gonna have all defense at 5 positions.
I'm going for a balance of both.
I already have my offense with Nash,KD and Admiral i just need to surround them with off ball players that can spread the floor and elite defenders
3 out of you 5 picks so far never made an All-D team... you've got some work to do.
I have 2 all time defenders already. Most people in this draft have only 1 or even 0 so far
I'm shocked one PF hasn't been drafted yet, at his peak he was was pretty much unguardable.

You're probably thinking of someone else but I'm not really shocked that a certain two time MVP is still on the board. We knew he would choke in the playoffs just cuz what worked in the regular season hardly did in the playoffs. A referee protected game like that of James Harden's never won championships.

Karl Malone? Pretty sure he was taken.
Karl Malone? Pretty sure he was taken.
My bad. If I was the draftee, I'd pick the young Malone, the athletic one who scored 30 per game, instead of the old one who relied on low percentage turnaround jumpers.
But yeah, your guy was great for a couple of seasons.
I'll pick Gary Payton
I'll pick Gary Payton
nooooooooooo
gilbert arenas then ,one season wonder 05-06, 30 points per game agent zero
My next two picks are two of my all-time favourites. Both tenacious, vital cogs to two of the best teams we’ve ever witnessed:
My first pick is a dynamic swingman who could do it all. One of the best all-round players of all time, John Havlicek. Hondo gives me gritty defense, athleticism and incredible versatility.
Nicknamed the ‘Celtic Man in Motion’, on the court he’ll be constantly running, cutting and attacking the basket: a relentless force able to dominate both ends of the floor. His constant hustle, selfless drive and movement without the ball will be key.
Hondo will be a devastating fastbreak finisher with Magic and Malone, while offering yet more clutch shooting, rebounds and steals.
8x NBA Champion
13x All-Star
1x NBA Finals MVP
11x All-NBA
8x All-Defense
Career totals of 26k points, 8k rebounds, 6k assists in 1270 games. Only LeBron James has matched these career totals.
HAVLICEK STOLE THE BALL!
To start the new round, for my second pick I choose Dennis Rodman. One of the best defensive players I

I Lik my team
agent zero, klay, doctor, larry, duncan and barry coming from the bench
splash brothers v2 , defence,shooting,clutch :durantunimpressed:
I'll pick Kevin Mchale
Paul George
Dwight Howard
Paul George
Walt "Clyde" Frazier.
I need a bulldog on defense in the backcourt, and a savvy vet to keep the offense running when Robertson sits. A championship caliber player, Frazier is perfectly suited for this team of alpha types and egomaniacs.
yea this would've perfectly filled out my lineup too
2017 Kyrie Irving. 25/3/6, 40% 3 point shooter.
C - '90 Ewing
F - '04 Garnett
F - '13 LeBron
G - '03 McGrady | '08 Ginobili
G - '17 Irving
Shooting was something I wanted to address since it is so valued in today's league. I think I did that.
I need shooting and defense. George was really the main guy with both at sf however. I need shooting more I think since 00 shaq is actually a nice rim protector. I'll take 04 peja to fill out.
C-00 Shaq
F-16 Draymond
F-04 Peja
G-09 Wade
G-68 West
Bench
F-19 Giannis

Mark Price.
One of the first great three point shooters, arguably the greatest free throw shooter ever and a four time all NBA point guard who, at his peak, was selected over John Stockton to the All-NBA first team.
As a dual 3 point contest champ and career 40+% 3pt shooter, Price will be a GOAT tier spot up shooter, as well as an awesome back up PG for CP3.
maybe skip DaHeezy and resume the draft,and let himi pick again when he is on;;

I'll give him one more hour.
Apologies to DaHeezy, but I think I'll proceed and you can jump in with your next picks when you're back on line? Do others agree?
It's almost midnight in Australia so if i don't take my next pick in the next 20 mins, it will be another 8 hours.
