George Kambosos pulled an upset by defeating Teofimo Lopez
George Kambosos pulled an upset by defeating Teofimo Lopez
Has to be the most humiliating lose ever. Teo thought he was the greatest ever. A 13 to 1 odds favorite and got beat bad.

Sht, kambosos is legit
Sht, kambosos is legit
He remind me of Katsidis who was a warrior, Kambosos is way more polished though. The Aussies tend to get outclassed and whooped when they come here and faced bigger competition. Only Fenech was able to held his own. Others like Zu and Darchinyan are transplanted. There were others like Famechon who has battles with Fighting Harada etc.
Kambosos has good stamina and underrated boxing skills but I believed guys like Haney and Shakur will box his ears off. Teo just fought a wrong fight chasing that one big punch and never even utilized his jab. HeÂ’s always susceptible to right hands , Japanese dude was landing it consistently . Anyways Teo and Loma are both sore losers. Garcia is already looking forward to fight Kambosos so we could see that fight next.
Anyone watch Showtime Boxing Saturday a few days ago?
All 3 bouts went the distance.... great boxing, judges a little suspect though.

Weren't those two your picks earlier in this thread?
Both Teo and Loma took safer opponents to avoid fighting Haney. Both lost and now their careers are on drastically inferior paths because of their embarrassing losses. Why would you want to see Garcia fight next? That's a weird pick.

They are still my picks, I am just calling it like it is.
Those are not safe opponents by stretch of imagination , they were meant to showcase. It will be hard to do that against a slicker Haney. Kambosos beat a couple of very good fighters before Teo and Nakatani made a good account for himself against Teo and a game Verdejo.
Kambosos have all the belts now, this is his money time. Garcia is Oscar main stable and popular so that will bring money. Loma is the same with Arum. He can also utilize DiBella connection and fight Tank who has been cherrypicking for awhile now and some following. Maybe he can bring one of them to Australia with his accolades .
i like Haney but his chin is too vulnerable . I think he can outbox everyone buy heÂ’s susceptible to one hitter quitter.

Yeah, Kamboses is a pretty inspirational guy. I like him, he's gutsy and smart. He outboxed the guy who outboxed the Matrix. Both Teo and Loma are not as good of boxers as Shakur and Haney and aren't going to out point them in a fight and their offense isn't sophisticated enough to catch them. And lets just be plain: they don't seem to have the savy to escape Tank.
Ryan has trouble keeping his head in the game. He's doesn't seem the type that will go thru fighting a lot of guys to tough out being the best. He would be the third guy in a row that would avoid Haney. And Haney doesn't punch hard and gives the appearance he's beatable. Sobeit, if his concetration is there, its going to be very hard to catch him. Haney beats Linares in all 12 rounds if he didn't get sloppy and lose concentration; and none of the other guys can do that. These guys are young so they are going to make mistakes.
Teo and Loma had no plans to fight the big guys at 135. Lopez talked a ton of trash even to heavy weights.

I agree with you on Kambosos.
Loma and Teo already fought the big guys at 135. There’s a reason they have all the alphabets that Kambosos took. It’s Haney who actually have to prove himself and from the looks of it, he is willing. Also Tank has been cherrypicking and They are milking him.

No they didn't fight any of the big guys (Lightweight) outside of each other: Shakur, Haney, Tank, Ryan Garcia are the other big guys. Teo only fought Commey and Loma vs the loss to Kambosos. Loma only beat Pedraza and Linares vs the loss to Teo. Both Teo and Loma lost embarrassingly bad. Loma got severly outboxed by Teo arguably the least skilled of the big six. Then Teo gets severly outboxed by Kambosos who was definitely not in the top six.
Tank is the biggest money maker in the bunch and has the biggest punch - He knocked out a 140 pound champion in a big way. His knock outs are the most brutal of the bunch. And the only ones more skilled than him are Shakur and Haney. While it is arguable the Loma is also top notch he seemingly got punched hard by Teo and refused to fight for six rounds. I would have Loma as one of the most skilled at 130lbs where he doesn't manifest that type of fear.
Just heard this for first time:
"The mouse under his right eye, has turned into a subway rat"
Brandun Lee now 24-0 with 22ko's.

Shakur schooled Oscar Valdez
Man. Serrano vs taylor was awesome!! Glad it lived up to the hype
Bivol really won every round against Canelo. The judging (Josh Taylor) has been horrid.

That was definitely more one-sided than 115-113.
That was definitely more one-sided than 115-113.
Canelo said he should have not gained that much weight and Bivol said ok we can fight at a lesser weight. Canelo didn't want to hear that. If a fighter is strong, skilled and can move their feet its a problem for Canelo. Canelo doesn't want to fight Benevidez or even Charlo.

So are you willing to say that Haney proved himself. All the stuff I said 5 pages back has come to be.

Haney's good just boring as F
Haney's good just boring as F
Haney is the epitome of do enough to win and move on lol
Haney is the epitome of do enough to win and move on lol
Not feeling this at all. I don't know of a fight where he didn't win 8 rounds clearly. He had a recent string of where he out punched his opponents in over 60 straight rounds. Thats over five straight fights. He rarely takes a round off.
Haney's good just boring as F
His opponents said this in efforts to avoid him. Rollie recently said this but there was footage of a 19 year old Haney punishing him - all the other young fighters still make fun of Rollie because of this - Rollie is like 4 years older than Haney. Only Tank makes more money than him in the ring so this absurd suggestion doesn't translate to the fans in general. Of the better lightweights he's more active punching wise in the ring then them all. And he has the best defense. And he has the best leg movement. There is definitely something there to watch if you are a fan. Domination and activity is never boring in any sport.
Kambosos was alot quicker to the punch than Teo and he couldn't even find Haney. Linares were never hit more in a fight.
He's dominated his last 4 opponents, all of which had titles, and won at least 8 rounds in all the fights. If power punching is your thing that's weird because nobody here ever mention Tank and Ryan. What do you guys find exciting?

Yeah, what was Canelo thinking?
Haney and Stevenson would beat these current version of Lomachenko
Haney and Stevenson would beat these current version of Lomachenko
I don't think Shakur ever has a problem with him. Loma's stance seems taylor made for him. Haney's gets better as he gets older. Loma hasn't faced guys with good foot movement, and who control the distance. Teo, the least skill dominant of the new comers, has those qualites to a much less degree and had his way with Loma, when he remembered to do those things.

I hope so too but bud seems to have had a better chin at welterweight and seems to have brought his power. We’ll see. Can’t wait for this fight.

Teofimo Lopez Upsets Josh Taylor to Win Jr. Welterweight Title | FIGHT HIGHLIGHTS
Taylor didn't look like a lineal champ last night. Looked completely outmatched.
Naoya Inoue didn't beat a paper champion. He just defeated the best boxer in that division. I think he is going to move up to another division. and clean house.
Errol “The truth aka big fish aka man down aka mr put em in the dirt aka belt snatcher” Spence Jr vs Terence“bud aka switch hitter ” Crawford
Biggest fight since triple G vs canelo. This is for all the belts people….It’s going down….I repeat it is going down!
