Not everyone in the same country has the same beliefs and habits. Some Haitians eat cats, maybe most some don't, but when you import 500K of them in a few years you're bound to get some of both.

I think everyone is getting besides the point here with the cats and dogs, parody account or no parody account. The fact of the matter is from all reports there is an excessive amount of illegal immigrants living in springfield. Some posters said the town was dying supposedly before the immigrants, if that’s true then there are other means to try to remedy it besides mass importation of immigrants…

I haven’t really seen anyone counter the fact that big corporations are using immigrants as leverage to suppress wages either.

If you want protectionism you'd need some hardline left wing policies, but that comes with other repercussions and anything left from the neoliberal Dems is deemed straight up communism in the US. There are levels to the process though. Like you could strive to build a mentally and physically healthy population which grows steadily because people feel like they have enough money and opportunity to be able to have a family, then top it off by attracting smart people from other countries for jobs where there's a need.

Right now it just feels like someone at the top of the DNC had a pling moment and went with the thought process that if they import a bunch of foreigners very fast and put them in the right areas, they can argue afterwards that it's heartless to send them back home and gain political power of the US. Just pay off the right stakeholders, doesn't matter if they pretend to be from corp party A or b. Like the Springfield comissioner who owns a lot of rental properties and gets govt money through vouchers far above regular rental rates as he houses multiple Haitians per property.
