That was in regards to housewives not wanting to live under the rule of a man, happy or not. Not saying women literally want to control the entire world lol. They want the ability to go out and make a difference in the world. Have a meaningful life beyond doing your laundry.
Really? I thought you were making a general statement about adults in general both male and female.
My point is that "happiness" is not what drives most adults, male or female. We all want to be IN CHARGE. We all want to make a difference in the world, we all want to feel important. The older we get, the less we give a shit about being "happy" and the more we care about being "IMPORTANT".
Yes that is both male and female. Females want to be in charge and feel important like men do. Humans care about more than just being "happy". They want to be important and in control (of themselves).

Re: Killer of Killers
When you are on your death bed, you are going to want to look back and think that your life made a difference in the world, for the better. It is really hard to acquire that feeling as a house keeper. It isn't really a feeling of "happiness", it is a feeling of "importance". That it is something most of us seek. Men and women. We want our lives to mean something.
[I]The most unfortunate aspect of this misreading, as Driscoll’s comment graphically reveals, is that the “pride fighter” portrait of Jesus easily subverts the Jesus of the Gospels who out of love chooses to die for enemies rather than use his power against them and who commands his followers to do the same (see e.g. Mt 5:43-45; Lk 6:27-36). In fact, if you read these passages carefully you’ll notice that Jesus makes loving enemies and refusing all violence the prerequisite for being considered a child of God! "Love thy Neighbor" is echoed throughout the entire Bible, it is the core message. The Golden rule. But you ignore it and read "we must hate illegals and f@gs and women must obey all men".

Rev 20:10 - and Jesus commanded the people to love thy neighbor so much that you are to support the very wickedness they engage in. Don’t discourage women from having high body counts, but encourage an even higher number. And Jesus instructed the world that Man can be Woman and Woman can be Man. And Jesus instructed the people to do away with Conservative Values and Promote Liberal Pride across the Nations.
Nobody is hating the sinner like you think they are, just the sin. Give it up already.

Re: Killer of Killers
Speaking of Sin:
John 16:9 states, "of sin, because they believe not on me". This verse, in the context of Jesus' promise to send the Holy Spirit, explains that the Holy Spirit will convict the world of sin because people do not believe in Jesus. The Holy Spirit will reveal the nature of sin as unbelief in Jesus, demonstrating that the world's sin is rooted in its rejection of Jesus' teachings and his person.

I can agree with this and it's a disturbing trend. Men and women have set aside our natural purpose (to spread our species and life) to try to find deeper meaning of purpose when in reality the most purposeful thing you can do is start a family, raise a family to be better people than you were and to push human civilization forward. I think a large part of men and women who take on those traditional roles would be much happier. Not everyone, but majority.

I think this is mostly still happening. Civilization is progressing and moving forward. Go back just 200 years and we are in a much worse society full of slavery and 1/8th of the population. Go back to just the 1990s and it is twice the crime and murder rate. Technology is driving us to a better place, but we are scared because change is naturally scary to most humans.
I think the internet gives everyone the false sense that the world is turning for the worst. Now every violent or dumb thing a human does is captured on video and trends on social media for all to see, and we are not used to that yet.

Or the world just isn't turning at all because of the abundance of time people waste on the internet. Look at our conversation here. Look at all the posts, add all those minutes up of typing or tapping away at your screen. And for what? For a trivial conversation online that you won't remember in a week or a month? From the doom scrollers, to the Instagrammers, to the people who endlessly argue every single day on X just because they'd rather do that than figure out a productive hobby.
For me it's not that the internet spreads negativity more than anything. It's the fact that we'd rather look at our screens while eating dinner than to look at our spouses faces in conversation. It's the fact that countless parents park their kids in front of a phone or tablet because they simply are lazy and don't want to entertain their own child. They'd rather have the negativity of the world wide web teach them about the world. They'd rather let their kids turn into teenagers and for their sons to consume porn at an early age and for them to become dependent on porn for the dopamine hit of dealing with their anxieties about school and social groups. Then when that son becomes a young man and he has no idea what to expect from his partner or how to treat her because his birds and the bees talk wasn't done by his father or mother, but by PornHub.com.
The internet is a façade that humanity willingly pulls over their face to distract themselves from their own failures as a person. They bury their heads deeper out of boredom.

I remember when my ex-wife was confused why I wanted "alone" time because in the beginning she was clingy to me. She was almost offended that I didn't want to spend as much time as I could with her. The best way I explained it is, "When I'm with you I cherish my time with you and enjoy it. Being with you makes me also in turn look forward to my alone time. And when I'm alone I will miss you, but in the same thought I appreciate being alone in the moment while looking forward to spending time with you. It's an on-going cycle.
It's not necessarily monogamy that's unnatural... It's too much time together that's unnatural.
Funny joke that's true: "For every hot women you see, there's a man out there that's become completely tired of her"
If you can strike a perfect balance with space & alone time.... Honeymoon phase could last forever.
It never works out that way though.

Yeah agree, I think most of the globe suffers screen addiction now. And it is damaging. The only thing I will say is that I would take it for plummeting homicide and crime rates, which is what we've had over the centuries. Screens are really a first world problem.
The places where the world is actually awful would be South American areas that are overrun by cartels, or places of war and turmoil, Gaza, Ukraine, etc. Those are the places Jesus would visit, not the US. People living in those situations would gladly have a dinner full a screens instead.
But it is important to keep in mind that the global homicide rate, war death, etc has plummeted over time. Even with the cartel violence and current wars. I mean like 80 million people died in WW2. Ukraine and Gaza might be like 1 million.

Re: Killer of Killers
Watched about the first 5 minutes. It is fascinating when someone has a death experience like that, the stories they bring back. With this one though, you can tell she is reading a script, although probably written by herself, hopefully.
The screen one is complex though, she is talking about girls looking at Instagram. But most of us are on screens all day because it our job. I don't know about you all, but like 99% of my posting in here is from being bored at work. I can not leave this screen, it is my salary, my food, my rent, etc.
I will say though, it will really suck when I get my life review and Jesus shows me how long I was in front of a computer, even though it is work.

Definitely disagree that souls are "destroyed" over it. Souls are eternal. But if it is "spiritual warfare" like you say? It is a personal war for each of us. And here we are, on screens. Posting YouTube videos. Working ourselves up over politics. When we could be doing something real.

Ephesians 6:12 means that Christians' struggle is not primarily against other people, but against unseen spiritual forces of evil, including demonic powers and rulers. These forces seek to influence governments, cultures, and individuals, promoting sin, lies, and rebellion against God. The passage emphasizes that Christians are in a spiritual battle, not just a physical one, and need to be equipped with God's armor to resist these evil influences

At any accord, you do not need to believe me if you don't want to.

No…. Your stances on Jesus are not clear.
Is he the Son of God or not? Is he God incarnate or no? Did he die for the Sins of the World?
Did Jesus have a conversation with Satan or no? Do you believe Satan exists?
Is the Bible bullshit or no?
None of these things are what you believe in or else you would declare it to be the case.

I will say, I do not believe that the ONLY way to God is through Jesus. I do respect other religions, and only around 30% of the world's population believes in Jesus. I mostly believe that all religions are formed from the same source, which is probably a progressive take to you.

Yea…. That’s Oprah’s take too.
There are other paths to God is about as hypocritical as it gets.
Otherwise there’s no reason for Jesus to make the sacrifice.
Ultimately God will judge nonbelievers and other faiths accordingly… but they ain’t getting through the door unless they get through Jesus.
Jesus is the only Door.
Do I sometimes wish that wasn’t the case? Yea I do, but it’s not.
Secondly ….
Yes, the Bible records instances where Jesus has conversations with Satan, particularly during the temptation of Christ in the wilderness. These conversations, described in the Gospels of Matthew and Luke, detail how Satan tempts Jesus to deny his divine authority and serve him instead of God
While the Bible was written by man, those men were possessed by the Holy Spirit. That is why it is the Word of God.

Re: Killer of Killers
So you’ve twisted the religion to fit your own liberal narrative.
The Bible is flawed, and Jesus is not the only way…. And he is kinda God in the flesh.
Which ever church you are going to…. Find a different one.

Re: Killer of Killers
I believe Jesus made the sacrifice for everyone, and he loves and forgives everyone. I believe the path to Satan is the rejection of Jesus and God but most importantly it is the rejection of love. Which isn't what most non-believers are.
A loving soul is a loving soul. That is all God cares about. Love. And that is at the core of the Bible itself.
If you hate others, including other religions or beliefs, you are going against God's will.

There is a difference between hating liberalism and liberals themselves.
Satan is author of confusion, so hopefully you can recognize the difference.
Conservative values are based off Christian principles, so to hate Conservatism would be somewhat blasphemous don’t you think?

If a libtard walks into a sea of MAGA supporters, they will be safe.

Agreed. They could've made the movie so much better though. Lawrence Fishburne's character was such as waste. He could've been a badass, but he was a crazy nut. Also I wish they would've shown the Yuatja fighting some other aliens dropped in. For me it's either right there with Predator 2, or a notch below it. I loved the Yakuza fight scene. I wish it was more drawn out. Predator, Prey, Predator 2, Predators, I don't count or acknowledge the AVP movies or The Predator. Killer of Killers I don't group in those because they were more like short stories than a movie.
