great half for Wolves
Wolves taking it to yet another team
Always nice to take it to a team that's trying hard to lose. Not even bad weather can change the outcome!

He’s been seething about Wemby for months now. Jealous Crepe Capela is no longer the best French player.
Jon Krawczynski: Rudy Gobert says he enjoys going against Wembanyama because he can see what it feels like to be towered over, for once. “In a way it’s fun because I realize sometimes what guys have to go through when they go against me.”

Dane Moore: Asked Rudy Gobert if he thinks Victor Wembanyama has gotten taller over the course of this season. Gobert: “I was saying that last night. I don’t know. He’s probably still growing. I mean, he’s only 20. He’s getting bigger and bigger.”

Christopher Hine: Naz Reid on Anthony Edwards coming back from injury: “I called it a Paul Pierce moment. I’m never really worried. He’s tough enough, he’ll come back. That’s kind of like a joke that I always tell with him and Kyle, like, ‘You ain’t tired,’ or ‘You’re not hurt.’ “

Dane Moore: Anthony Edwards fascination with the banked in 3 continues. Asked about it after the game he laughed and said: “I had already made up my mind, like if I get this open look I’m gonna try to go glass. Victor continuing to grow isn't good for him
DiVincenzo signed with the Warriors for $4.5 million and thrived. Then, in 2023, he walked into a friendlier market. His relationship with Stephen Curry grew enough in their one season together that DiVincenzo made an important call in the early days of free agency. Once again, a year later, he sought Curry’s advice. “It was on FaceTime,” Donte DiVincenzo said. “He and his family were there and his security, our team security. They’re people that I don’t take their opinion lightly.” The Minnesota Timberwolves, per league sources, were a serious suitor with a real chance to sign DiVincenzo. A few other teams had significant offers on the table. The choices were weighing on a sixth-year guard about to earn his largest-ever contract. “He reached out about New York specifically and what he should do, what I thought he should do,” Curry said. “When you have gained trust in someone to call, pick up the phone, it means a lot, especially for a guy who was only here for a year.”
ClutchPoints: Spurs rookie Victor Wembanyama on Rudy Gobert’s game and something that he would emulate from Rudy into his own game: “I think he’s really found his place here [with the Timberwolves]. He fits in the team… he might be the best defensive player in the world. If you’re by yourself it doesn’t work. But here, he’s not by himself. He’s got everything to make this work.”

1 of the 3 not an all-star :facepalm
-7.3 rDRtg with 24 games left. Just great stuff.
Rudy has the DPOY award locked up assuming he doesn't miss too many games to meet the 65-game qualification. That would give him four DPOYs, tying Ben Wallace and Dikembe Mutombo. He's already bound for the HOF but this fourth DPOY would seal it beyond any doubt.
