During the Michael Jackson Memorial, Magic was standing next to a 6'4" Kobe Bryant and didn't look more than an inch taller than him. I thought he was 6'9"?
kobe is 5'9'' dumbass
It is also common knowledge that the baskets are not nearly at the 10' level. Cleveland's has been measured at 9' 3".
The FT line. In Detroit it is 12'.
3pt line. In Utah... 19' 9".
Half court. 35 ft in Oakland.
Full court. 63 ft in Denver.
Breh you got a source for that?
Or you talking out your ass?
All NBA Players lie about their height (or so I've been told). Kobe is typically listed as 6'7'' & people are said to shrink as they get older so it is possible that Magic may have lost an inch or so with old age.
I don't understand how people can boldly state that they know the exact height of someone that they have likely only seen on tv and in photographs. Unless you were present when one of these guys was measured, then you are just estimating. Some of you idiots are pretending that you know the height of these players down to a quarter of an inch. Give me a f**kin break.
Furthermore who gives a shit? Do you think that a player being fractionally shorter that they are listed in some way diminishes their accomplishments? Well it doesn't. What is it with this place? This is some of the most childish and pointless crap I have ever seen. 99.999999% of the stuff we debate here is OPINION. Opinion, not facts. Quit bullshitting yourselves.

Yao doesnt look an inch taller than Boykins, he must be 5'5''

6'7? The boy's 6'5" and 6'6" with shoes...
i think these threads where players, standing from different angles, spots, posture are used to judge. you can literally pull 12 pictures together and go "look, kobes shorter than so and so here", "so and so is shorter than so and so here" and then come to the conclusion by the 12th picture that kobe is 5'11. :oldlol:

this is a photoshop you nimrod. Either that or Boykins has a freak extra arm sticking out of his right hip and that extra arm has the exact same shape and texture, except scaled down, of his right arm.
Decided to do some fact checking after reading this thread and all the various height claims for different players.
Dwight Howard really did measure out at 6'9 without shoes (6'10 and quarter with) pre-draft in '04. I guess I must have forgotten about that. Always assumed he was a legit 6'11.

Didn't see his name come up in this thread, but I know his height is much debated. Tracy McGrady measured at 6'6 and a half without shoes in '97 (no with shoe height listed, 6'8 is safe to assume). From the same draft, something I found interesting: Billups a legit 6'3 without shoes.

Mutombo measured 7'1 and quarter without shoes in '91. LJ was 6'5 and a half without shoes.

My boy Oliver Miller was a svelte 318 pre-draft in '92. :oldlol: 22% body fat. Also, some guy named Shaq measured 7'1 without shoes.

Shawn Bradley was a legit 7'5 and a half sans shoes in '93. That's a whole lotta Mormon right there. But only stacked high, not wide. 248 pounds. Damn, I've high like 243 at my highest and I'm only 5'9.

Grant Hill 6'8 without shoes in '94. Interesting.

Garnett was 6'11 without shoes in '95. Steve Nash - 6'1 without shoes (I see a lot of 6'3 but I guess that's okay with shoes).

Rashard Lewis weighing 190 coming into the league. Yikes.

Elton Brand was 6'8 and a quarter without shoes. I've seen a lot of people say he was closer to 6'7 or high 6'6.

Shane Battier was 6'8 and a quarter without shoes. 6'9 and a half with. Wow. That's surprising.
