Re: Who is the most exciting in-game dunker in the NBA?
you just proved me right.
its natural to assume we are talking about the present. But the title doesnt directly state "presently" or "currently" and its up for assumption. The poster assumed it was anyone in the nba and vince carter is still in the nba.
You kind of have to be a half whit yourself to get all bent over something understandable.
If one answers "Vince Carter" to this thread's question, they are saying "Vince Carter is the most exciting in-game dunker in the NBA."
But that's not what klee actually means. He means that VC was or has been the most exciting dunker at some point in the past; I.E. in his prime. Is, was, and has been might seem interchangeable to you, but they really aren't. Is describes the present. It's illogical to answer a question referring to the present with an answer that refers to a present player's past abilities that simply no longer exist today.

Re: Who is the most exciting in-game dunker in the NBA?
How about you use common sense Nathan. If his intent was to include players who were known for dunking a decade ago.. He would of mentioned an all time or best of last decade type list. Change the question a bit and you'll see the logic failure.
Who is the best shooter in the NBA? If I said Michael Redd or Peja Stojakovic based on the fact that 5 plus years ago they were among the best shooters.. Would that be logical to you? Given the material you post I'm guessing you'll answer yes unfortunately.
"Who is the most exciting in-game dunker in the NBA?"
it doesnt say "ever" "currently" "right now" "the past decadge" "was" it says "in the nba" which is vague so most people assume it is the present....the poster assumed it was any player right now in the nba which is understandable. For you to not understand that and bitching at the guy you must be stupid yourself.
im not dissagreeing with you that the question is meant to ask who is right now the best in game dunker in the nba. My point is u shouldnt get bent on his answer because its not as incorrect as you think it is.
Re: Who is the most exciting in-game dunker in the NBA?
How the hell is this thread six pages long? What are all these paragraphs all about?
Blake Griffin.

It's illogical to think this thread is referring to "any player right now" and then give an answer based on past performances that haven't existed for years. That is what you aren't comprehending. You either think the question is talking about the past or present, but you don't decide upon the present and then use the past as criteria. It is not logical.
You should answer Clipperfan's question:
Who is the best shooter in the NBA? If I said Michael Redd or Peja Stojakovic based on the fact that 5 plus years ago they were among the best shooters.. Would that be logical to you?
its not that he was somekindof creative dunker or so..... its that he would attack the rim mad as HELL! ridicilous hang time and finesse and power...
what made it extra exciting is just what happens after the dunk.... he was so funky!! remember how he would always do some kindof dance afterwards... ? or some weird swaggalicious slow walk back... or moonwalk.. or simply just stay there and SCREAM and do some kung fu moves at the opponent or just point at the guy he dunked on like "ha ha look what happened to u..." :pimp:

Re: Who is the most exciting in-game dunker in the NBA?
Wade's spin and dunk on Perk was probably the greatest in-gamed dunk I've ever seen.
Blake probably has the best contact dunks
J.R. smith is up there too with his 360 alley oop and the poster on Neal.
