Kobe has played in 34 more games, yet needs 165 more FGA to tie Jordan in FGA. Jordan has taken so much more FGA than Kobe
25.1 FGA average in the Playoffs
20.3 FGA average for Kobe
50 eFG% for MJ, 48 eFG% for Kobe. Not that far away in efficiency.
eFG% is bullshit
TS% is a much better indicator of shooting efficeincy
What does it say when Kobe's career PPG average is 7 less than Jordan's yet he is nearly equal in points with WORSE efficiency (that's still dropping)?
:oldlol:
This is why I laugh at how guys, act like 50% is not much different than 45%

Its one shot per game.

Kobe 3pt attempts: 858
Jordan 3pt attempts: 446
Dude, is it my fault there is Jordan's name there ? And that another player ihas the possibility to pass his record ? Is that my freaking fault ? Seriously ?
I didn't say it was your fault. It was just going to happen, no mater who the poster was.
I wouldn't really care either if LeBron James or Kevin Durant broke the record one day either... I would probably see the same thing happen, but to a lesser degree.
Its one shot per game.
No... stop it.
Stop making this more of Jordan vs Bryant debate than it already was forced to be.

The difference between 50% and 45% on 20 attempts is one shot per game. I'm just talking math here, nothing attached to names.
:)

Okay... as long as we can keep it that way.
Yeah.. you didn't watch the game last night
Yes I did watch the game, I think Kobe should shoot, but his style of shooting at times makes guys quit or "stand and watch" way more than MJ, (except Jordans early days...he was the same way). Kobe is in season 16...shouldn't he be more selective by now?
Its one shot per game.
yup and over a career is 7 less ppg
Kobe 3pt attempts: 858
Jordan 3pt attempts: 446
:facepalm
Jordan now sucks because he had better shot seletion than Kobe....Kobe was forced to chuck those threes....which still result if less ppg
Amazing that these stans can act like Kobe is anywhere near the playoff performer Jordan was. :oldlol:
MJ's playoff numbers through his first retirement (111 games, 24 series):
34.8 pts/6.7 reb/6.7 ast/2.4 stl/1.1 blk/51.5% FG. Yeah, that's basically 35/7/7/2+/1+/51% FG over 111 playoff games. Unreal that anyone thinks Kobe compares when he's had maybe - MAYBE - a half dozen series in his ENTIRE CAREER that are even ON that level, and probably only 2-3 that are clearly superior to it.

He had around ~22 shots going into the 4th and shot 7 or 8 down the stretch when he got them back into the game. His shooting isn't an excuse for Bynum's body language throughout the game.

nvm. respecting Legends66 wishes.
