Re: Doc Rivers Talks about Ray leaving. Interesting stuff
thats completely understood and not the point of my post...the point is that boston fans are bitching that allen showed no loyalty and wat not when in reality we didnt show loyalty to him and practically smacked him in the face with how we treated him and our offseason moves so why should boston be so bitchy about him leaving
ye i know. just sayin
Re: Doc Rivers Talks about Ray leaving. Interesting stuff
Ray has always had this little streak to him. Never been a fan. Guy gets this rep for being such a great worker. Too bad he never worked on creating a handle or getting to the rim. He had the talent to be a more impactful player. But, guy just sat back taking pot shots at other players because of his short comings. It is arguable that Rondo is better than Ray Allen has ever been in his entire career.
:facepalm :facepalm :facepalm Did I just read this?
I actually think that Rondo might be the best point guard in the game right now but better than RAY ALLEN has EVER been in his entire career?
Is this because of the Ray/Kobe feud? Or are you that stupid?
And if you ever watched him play in Seattle or Milwaukee, you'd know that he did have the ability to handle and get to the rim back in his prime.
I don't get why Ray is a dick for wanting out of Boston. He was an unrestricted free agent, which means he could have went where ever the hell he wanted. He's basically retiring in Florida, while shooting some 3's here and there.
Re: Doc Rivers Talks about Ray leaving. Interesting stuff
I guess he'll be the focal point of the offense in miami. What a crybaby.
Ray Allen just wants to win more NBA Championships. He's already 37 yrs.old.
Re: Doc Rivers Talks about Ray leaving. Interesting stuff
also boston didnt fight hard to get allen back...if my memory serves correctly they offered terry a contract before allen...if they wanted allen back then why bother going for terry first if they claimed allen was a priority...allen was severely mistreated in boston and easily made the most sacrifices of the big 3...from gettin traded midseason to a last second change up and he lost his starting spot...some may say that it was deserved but i applaud allen for not disrupting the team during the playoffs and season when he was benched when most other aging stars would have pouted their asses off
Allen moved on and so should boston... the city of boston didnt care to bring allen back they just cared he went to miami...if he was on the clippers this would be a non issue
Boston offered him 2 years 12 million deal (reportedly a no trade clause as well) before even approaching Terry.
Rondo was almost traded to Hornets for CP3 and Pierce was almost traded to Nets for this year's lottery pick. Did they bitch about it?
It's not about money, the truth is his ego couldn't handle coming of the bench for a 2nd year player.

for one it wasnt a no trade clause...it was a trade kicker...also pierce and rondo were in trade rumors they werent traded then called back only to be told the deal fell through...and finally well before ray made his decision boston signed jason terry so when all of this happens what do you think ray is going to do...yea I think I'd leave too
like i said if this was the clippers he went too nobody in boston would give a shit...we were calling him washed up this season anyway now all of a sudden we care
Re: Doc Rivers Talks about Ray leaving. Interesting stuff
Doc Rivers should shut his mouth. If he truly respected Ray he would keep all that in house. Happens everywhere just most coaches dont whinge about it in public.
Veiled shots at a guy that was incredibly valuable to that team. Pathetic.
Hopefully Ray responds on court only. Doc will lose again.

Ray Allen has every chance to do that in Boston. The Celtics took the cHeat to 7 games when crippled with injuries or had you forgot?
He's basically stuck two fingers up at Boston because he lost his starting role to Bradley

Heat would have blown the Celtics out of the water with healthy Bosh and Wade.
Fact, so recognize.
Celts are finished as true contenders.
Re: Doc Rivers Talks about Ray leaving. Interesting stuff
Why are Heat fans so arrogant? "Celts are finished as true contenders"
Based on what? The Celtics look a much stronger outfit this time around already with the additions made to the roster.
As many as 7 or 8 teams could win a chip next season and the Celts are one of them.

dont always agree with stephen A but this sums it up pretty well

Forget about them, they're as arrogant and stupid as they can be.
Re: Doc Rivers Talks about Ray leaving. Interesting stuff
ray allen may be a deadly 3 point shooter, but it also gives the heat some big holes taht lebron have to fill

You're right but if someone is gonna chuck from the outside Spoelstra never had a problem with it. Best defensive team in the game especially with help defense.
It's gonna be the same as it was with Mike Miller, Chalmers and James Jones, thing is, offensively Ray ain't gonna miss those open looks. He had to dance around and jump a lot to shoot over defenders in Boston.

A healthy Ray, Pierce and Bradley would certainly have helped the Celtics.

He got mad because Avery Bradley was starting at his spot and because Rondo got the ball all the time.
Good luck in miami fixing this issues.
