Re: Biogenesis saying there are some NBA players using PEDs
Denial.
Again, denial of what? I acknowledged that many if not a majority of athletes are using something, but I also said that people claiming they ALL use is an exaggeration. You may not share my opinion that the controversy is largely media driven or that athletes should be allowed to use PED's, as I may be in the minority there. However, it's safe to assume that a lot of athletes who would never garner suspicion are in fact using (ie Rashard Lewis). My main point is that no one is above suspicion.

Re: Biogenesis saying there are some NBA players using PEDs
I am a runner and follow professional tack and field which is another sport rife with PED abuse. I also know people who play or played in the NFL, NBA and MLB. Coming back from an injury like Kobe's is extremely suspicious if he's able to do that in that timeframe at his age. It just is. HGH, which they don't test for in the NBA could help you do that in that time for sure. I'm not saying that he's doing that but based on what I know from the athletes whom I know personally, it's definitely a strong possibility. I'm not saying this as an indictment of Kobe personally, I'm saying that it should raise eyebrows like a dude with cancer winning the tour de france or Clemens pitching 95 mph at 40. It's unlikely that it would be possible.
I hear what you're saying. I cant argue otherwise or really disagree that it could raise suspicion. I guess my point is I wouldnt care if someone like Kobe cheated to get back on the court faster after suffering an injury. I dont know enough about PEDs, HGH and so forth to go any deeper. Which is why I would like outside the lines or someone to attempt to educate the ignorant fan like myself. I dont look at an athlete different or lesser if they found ways to recover faster.

Re: Biogenesis saying there are some NBA players using PEDs
:facepalm how can you compare a pic of a guy at 16 to when he's like 28:lol :facepalm I swear some people on here have never stepped foot inside a gym, maybe even never leave there nerd stations..
I'd say the majority of athletes are on PEDs now, and they start a lot younger now..

Well, I'll try to explain some stuff quickly just to give you an idea. The main thing about PEDs (like for basketball or baseball or football not running or cycling) is quick recovery. Meaning that you can get stronger quicker because you can recover faster. So instead of working a muscle group once a week you can now work that same muscle group three times a week or whatever. So that the PEDs don't make you ripped or bulky but if you wanna do that you can do it easier and much faster. Some athletes use it for recovery just from a normal routine. Say if you did plyos twice a week to improve your lateral quickness and vertical leap. Well now you can do them four times a week and see much greater improvements. You don't have to lift or look bulky. It's nothing like that at all. Of course you can do that if you want to. So you can use them to aid in your recovery from a workout or from an injury. The thought is this. When you are on the level of being in the NBA or NFL or professional cycling or running etc, that at the top, the talent level is essentially the same. So you have to look for that extra to separate you from the next guy. The only thing is that most of them are doing it so the playing field is actually almost leveled. Like what Armstrong said about cycling. If all of the top riders are doing it then you have to do it in order to compete. That's how you know when people are cheating. If a great sprinter gets busted like Tyson Gay just did and Asafa Powell as well then you know that it's a pretty safe bet that anyone who has run as fast as them or faster is on something. Why do you know that? Because if you are cheating and you're running a 9.7 and someone is running a 9.5 there is no way that they can be clean and beat a cheater. It's just not possible. That's how everyone with a brain always knew armstrong was doping. So many other top riders had gotten busted for doping that it would be impossible to believe that someone clean could somehow be superhuman and be able to beat all the dopers. It's not possible. So anyway back to basketball. A guy Kobe's age coming back from an injury that is so devastating and coming back so early is a huge red flag. It just doesn't add up. In addition, the league doesn't test for HGH so there's no incentive not to use it. Baseball doesn't test for it yet so everyone in baseball is still juiced to the gills. Guys like Wade and Howard and LBJ are suspicious to me outwardly because of their appearance. And if you see someone in their late 20's or 30's getting braces that is another red flag. But there are plenty of guys you would never suspect (because of his physique) like Rashard Lewis. The bottom line is this. There are literally millions of dollars at stake and if PEDs were standing in the way of you and millions of dollars what would you do? You'd take them because if you didn't, the next guy will. Also, the league (like all other leagues) wants to turn a blind eye to it because the more explosive and exciting the product is the more revenue there will be. Look at the era w McGuire and Sosa and Bonds. Guys were crushing HRs and they looked like body builders. You literally had to be a blind moron not to know that they were juicing and the league acted shocked when all of this came to light. It was bs. Those years were great for baseball and got a lot of people back into the sport who were pissed off about the strike.

ididots need to stop arguing about who is and isn't using these products. It isn't all about muscle and recovering from injuries you know?
