He's the CEO and that's the line, my observation would be that:

1) They must have a shit culture of work there for the CEO to go public and say he'd like to replace another 10% of his workforce because they're useless drug addicts.

2) If drug addiction in Springfield is such a big issue that a steel company with 300 employees fired 10% and wants to fire another 10% of their worksforce because of it, the government should be looking at how to fix that instead of replacing people.

Why would it be an obvious problem for him to fire drug addicts who doesn't show up to work or ever meet their numbers?

Where did anyone say he fired 10% of his workforce to hire Haitians? Looks to me like you just made that up.

My impression was that the jobs had been open for awhile. That's why the Haitians moved there in the first place, job openings.

Pretty sure not every American who works there is a drug addict lol. Firing Americans to hire more Haitians in a town that is in the national spotlight already could definitely be politically risky move for a CEO.

If drug addiction in Springfield is such a big issue that a steel company who was in need of 30 employees and couldn't find any American to take the job also wants to fire another 10% of their workforce because of it, the government should be looking at how to fix that instead of replacing people.

There no risk politically, his local government has literally allowed people from one other specific country to become 25-30% of the city in just a few years, it's so crazy I really don't have words for it. E.g there's a city in Sweden where immigrants now make up around 50% of the demographics, crime there has gotten really bad and there's now a proposal in Swedish govt to make a law which would give the immigrants 50K or smth like that to go home for good. They have the same deal in Denmark, literally trying to pay immigrants to go home because they can't kick them out due to EU law. And that's based on change that happened over decades, these Haitians were put in Sprinfield in just a few years.

Sweden was flooded by refugees from people fleeing war in Syria and Ukraine. It isn't like Sweden had open jobs waiting for them lol.

The Haitians aren't refugees. They went specifically to Ohio because they heard there were open jobs there. The situations arent even remotely similar but i am not surprised that you can't see the difference.

I guess when you say Ukraine, you really mean Iraq, Somalia and Afghanistan.

Going straight from Syria to Sweden there are 9 countries in between.. Sweden welcomed them in and back when it was happening they had all sorts of imaginary govt analysis about how these people would be a benefit for the country, including that they're able to take open jobs.

75% of those have come since 2022, has nothing to do with middle eastern and African immigrants in the 10's, hence why they're going to offer more money to middle easterners to go home and not Ukrainians. Also, I think your number from there only counts people still with official refugee status.

That is the point. Sweden is a bad comparison. They've had a ton of refugees in recent years and obviously wasn't ready for them.
That isn't comparable to the situation in Springfield which is just a small town with jobs to fill.
