Re: Morant disappointed in the coaching staff's lack of belief in Ja-ball
You're over-reacting dude. He's not bad at basketball. The guy def has some mental issues right now, trying to figure out his role in the NBA on his team, one that he is the face of. Would I trade Brunson for him? NO, I wouldn't. But that doesn't make him bad at basketball.
Why do you always simp for these dudes with 0 emotional impulse control? Is it a jihad thing?
You did it with westbrick and now you do it with ja.

Re: Morant disappointed in the coaching staff's lack of belief in Ja-ball
To be fair to the coaches, despite his various talents, the Grizzlies have a history of playing as well or better when he's not in the game.
He's a career 31% three point shooter, which just does not jive with the state of the game now. For context, thats 2% lower than Josh Giddey who was much maligned in OKC for not shooting well as a 20 year old. Ofc Giddey has made heaps of progress since then, probably as a result of working on it. Who knows what Ja's work habits are. You get the sense he may feel like his game is already perfect.
I dunno what the Grizzlies plan to do in terms of playing him, sitting him, trading him. But Im sure when the time comes someone will give him a nice big contract just on reputation alone. And all the five figure fans will cheer for the hundreds of millions he'll make off their support, regardless of what he contributes. Viva la fish!
Anyway I could definitely see his dad publicly threatening the head coach. We'll see.
I feel like a lot of it had to do with Bane and some of the vets they no longer have carrying in the non-JA minutes. Now that they don't have Bane this is no longer the case. They are not good without him. That Bane trade was awful for their short-term chances of being a good team. I'm sure Ja's pissed about the roster changes as much as anything else right now. The shooting slump is whatever, he's still able to attack and get to the FT line and finish at the rim so he's still a great player.
Throw another few hundred mil at him, everything will be fine.
As long as he does a 360 dunk now and then that makes him worth half the salary cap.
For an All-Star level player he's making just around 40 million a year which is nothing. He's making less than OG Anunoby this season with the 29th highest salary in the league. He's a top 30 player in the league even at a slightly washed state so that's nothing special.
Re: Morant disappointed in the coaching staff's lack of belief in Ja-ball
We all know Ja wants to come out of the closet. That’s why he is so emotional lately. I’ve messed around with a lot of brothas who hide their emotional vulnerabilities and attraction to men behind a tough gangsta image. ja is no different. Probably had a falling out with Dillon brooks (another DL thug).
