Karl Malone :applause:
That's because he can't get more than 8 shots per game since he can't drive and he isn't always open. You act like shot attempts grow on trees.
Did that answer my question?
it's called spacing and variance people... :facepalm
given today's spacing strategy and the resulting friendly environment to obtain 3-pointers, someone was bound to get hot and set this type of record.
i never understood this, but when a player gets this hot, why not put a body on him? in a lot of other sports if you have 1 player toying with you they usually get a bit more physical with him. Klay was just running around in that 3rd quarter with no worry in the world.
Thompson scores 37 in a quarter
Jimmy Butler career high 35

c'mon bro, it's against the 25th ranked defense in the league in the regular season... you act like he had a 50 point game in the Finals against a top 10 defense or something... :facepalm
Is there a video of his 3rd quarter out yet? Bah gawd, I wish I was watching this game...I was gonna commit this night to just relaxing and watching league pass, and I saw the ATL game (awesome game btw) and thought ehh, can't nothing top this, and started playing 2k after. Some 4 hours later I realize that I just missed out on a historic event
That was me as well. I thought the Warriors vs Kings? They won't be a good game. Damn man. Missed out on something historic.

Harden dropped 45 on the #3 defense less than a week ago.
Im not impressed with the point total as much as I am the 37 point third quarter. People luck into 50 point games, but nobody lucks into a quarter like that.

Yeah. It's extremely rare to see a person get hot like that. He didn't miss either, right? That won't happen anytime soon.
comparing harden to klay is like comparing AI to miller. Stats says harden but impact wise its not even close. Miller has multiple 50+ win teams at a time when the east was stronger compared to AIs 1 50+ win team on a weak conference.
He would be the perfect sidekick to lebron
  The crazy part is that he DIDN'T miss in the 3rd quarter. :biggums:
Simply unbelievable.
Epic
52 points in 32 minutes, holy...

:biggums: Did they just put the balls in random spots? Where's the ball for the one he hit in the corner?
Has anyone made more than 13 fg in a qtr?
Should I use the ISH logic from the Hou/Ind game?
But its Sac, they're a scrub team, his totals shouldn't even count.
Pretty sure I heard all of those excuses when he dropped 45 on Indy the other night.
Great shooting night. Like I said, its too easy for him. 9 out of every 10 three's he takes is off a pass. Curry makes it easy to stand there and catch and shoot all night.
it seems you didn't watch the game and the 3rd quarter, it's really a waste of time when facing a guy talking someing by former impression of some player.
watched that game, then come back to display your evidence
props to Step Curry. Once he recognized Klay was hot, he just kept passing the ball to Klay. Westbrook or Kobe woulda hogged the ball and disrupted Klay's rhythm.
This! Curry is the real MVP.
Most fun I've had watching basketball in a while. This Warriors team isn't just great to watch on the court, but the way they're so clearly close and together is just awesome to watch.
What was Kobe's highest in a quarter?
Teams would love to score 37+ in a quarter as a whole :oldlol:
Joe had a 29 point quarter last season. Remarkable to see Klay light up like that, though.

30 points (10-10 FG)
And the quickest 50+ game ever...

Klay was close (1.49 min)
That boy is talented

Sleepy Floyd hit 12 FG's in a quarter during his 29-point quarter and 51 point game vs. the Lakers in the 1987 WCSF...
this is a more impressive than Klay's, since was almost all two-pointers so he had to create a lot more... and it came against an all-time great team and a great defender in Michael Cooper.
Harden taking 37 shots in the third quarter next game. Show Klay what a real SG looks like.
No GT for live reactions?
Btw, how awesome was Steph signaling his teammates to give Klay the ball? Dude had just as much fun seing Klay go off as Klay did himself..

lol, no it isn't more impressive....
Klay's performance is an all-timer......more impressive than 81 pts imo...not sure about MJ's 63 just because that was the playoffs/Boston Garden, outstanding defense, etc.......But if someone said it was, Id have no problem with it.........
And you'd probably be spamming with us with your temporary Harden bandwagoning. Before Klay had his historic 3rd quarter you were jumping on Harden's back saying he was the best SG/top MVP canditate. Let's not turn everything into a Harden vs Klay debate each time one or both of them has a big game.
i don't know why you guys argued so much about who's better, thompson will ended logetivity career than harden, harden's elite will be much shorter.
harden is poor in basic basketball skill, always in his left hand and goes his left side, when his body goes down, he will go down very quickly with his poor skill compare to thompson.
on the other side, some of harden shoot were no reasonable like former Rocker Francis. some shoot drew the team to lose the game.
3ball is making me hate Jordan. He's like a Hawks fan of stans.

F*ck MJ and f*ck Sleepy Floyd.
UK2K
UK2K, :facepalm you do not realize that catch and shoot is one skill, and hold the ball and find space to shoot is another kind of skill.
let harden do the catch and shoot, it's most possibly a worse situation.

Call me when you do that in 2K. 37 pts in a quarter and people still trying to discredit a player.

Jordan's 63 was a loss and in OT while taking 41FGA and 21FTA.
Klay's is much more impressive.

Saying you think someone else did something better isn't discrediting someone for f*ck's sake.
He can think Sleepy was better for plenty of reasons.

Playoffs, 85 Celtics ... I'm going with MJ, for the overall game.
But that third quarter by Klay ... can't believe it. Not even Wilt scored that many in a quarter, I take it.
Just insane wow
Salt all up in this thread lmao

Lets think about this from an efficiency standpoint. I would bet you that you couldn't take 13 shots and 2 FT to score 37 points if I gave you 100 tries. Without ANY defense.
