Was literally about to jump in here to say the Packers are a fvcking problem. Beat me to it.
Commanders play the Packers on Thursday. Should be a fun one.
Henry still is a beast. Him and Lamar are an insane combo. Glad they are in the AFC
Ravens dominating in the trenches on both ends. Not looking good for the Bills.
They’ll regroup and be fine but this is an ass-kicking.
we are so back
Holy shit what a catch by Hopkins
Derrick Henry absolutely destroying the Bills :lol
Jesus. Allen has a clear first down that’s called a yard short, holding penalty on the next play on 3rd and 1, and then a sack.
Not that the Bills were going to win but that was the game. How was the spot a full yard short when it clearly a first down? Bizarre.
what a great game
Will the Ravens choke this? :lol
nothing like a SNF opener with a classic chokejob :oldlol:
Bills can run the clock out and kick a walk off.
Ravens are serious choke artists.
Tough loss.
They do it every single time. Ravens are the most talented team in the league along with the Eagles, but they always find a way to lose against the other top teams. They should have beat the Bills in the playoffs last season as well. :lol
Week 1 and we likely already saw the game of the year.
I've seen bigger comebacks than that, but the Ravens were dominating them for 3.5 quarters, crazy the offense totally sputtered down the stretch like that.
I would've strongly considered going for that 4th & 3 if I were the Ravens, I had full confidence the Bills were getting into FG range on that final drive. They also should've let them score on that last completion.
If Baltimore goes on 4th and doesn't get it... I think Buffalo would've already been in FG range but I'm not for certain
On a side note, who would have thought Derrick Henry would quietly sneak his way as one of the best RBs ever? Has to be at least top 20 at this point right? Just passed Jim Brown in rushing TDs.
Wow.... there's never been a final NFL score of 41-40.

They would've essentially been in long FG range, but they still would've had 3 timeouts if they failed.
I'm not saying it's an obvious call, but imo your superstar QB is more likely to pick up 3 yards to win the game than your reeling defense, on the road, is keeping the opposing MVP and an offense on a roll, with all the momentum, out of FG range just needing a FG to win the game.
While not exactly the same situation, it reminds me of when Belichick went for it on 4th & 2 deep in his territory against the Colts, he tried to win the game instead of giving the ball back to a red hot Peyton.

Wasn't on the level of this game, but the Steelers-Jets game earlier today was pretty damn great too.
Josh Allen is the MVP already.
I know it's Week 1, but if you look at all the other QB play out there, only one on another stratosphere compared to everyone else Allen.

Another stratosphere to Burrow & Jackson?
Nah :lol

Isn't he like 0-4 vs Mahomes in the playoffs? :lol
Mahomes has lost some steam over the years, hasn't put up the godly numbers like when he first came into the league because the weapons are not there anymore. I love Burrow too, I feel he is a better pocket passer than Allen, but Allen can beat you with his legs. Allen is a freak of nature though, he has the size, insane arm strength, running ability and what separates him from Lamar is his passing ability. I can't see Lamar throwing for 200 yards in a single quarter to complete a comeback like Allen just did, Lamar needs a running game behind him to really shine.
Edit: Allen had 251 passing yards in the 4th. My goodness. :lol
Legend of Josh
Teams with 40+ points and 235+ rushing yards in a game were 277-0 including the playoffs.

Josh Allen is a different level than Lamar. Jackson has a much better team but still finds way to lose. He cant throw or close like Josh.
Blaming Lamar Jackson for last night loss is moronic to say the least. But everyone wants to be Junior Skip Bayless so have at it.

Nobodies blaming Lamar but there's levels to this shit. Henry's fumble was a huge turning point as well. Probably the biggest one. Theres no shame in being worse than Josh Allen though.

Lamar is on Josh Allen's level. What the hell are we talking about here?
Lamar is one of the GOAT regular season QBs ever, up there with anyone from his era and while his playoff resume is not up to par YET he's 28 years old and had a great playoff run individually last year. He has time to correct the script. The man just came off an historic season, truly one of the best of all time with his 41 TDs to just 4 INTs, whole being as edfficnet as peak Peyton Manning as a passer and he's the GOAT rushing QB..... I dont need to see it capped off with a Superbowl title to recognize I had never seen that level of expertise as a passer/runner combo EVER.
Josh Allen is a tremendous player. Hes in the same category, not above it. He has done better individually in the playoffs though. If that's how you want to judge a QB you better be consistent with that. Joe Flacco better be way up there on your rankings, he had one of the goat playoff runs ever. Peyton Manning is not even top 20 if that's the hill you want to stand on. Eli is better than him.
Farve is not top 20 either. Way too many horrific games in the playoffs. Almost 30 percent of his playoff games ended with him in the 50s passer rating.

Lamar has had the luxury of having a great running game behind him his entire career. He's not really the type who can put a team on his back like the other elite QBs. He has had only 1 season in his career where he has thrown for 4,000 yards. Put Lamar on the Bills and he wouldn't be nearly as good.

:oldlol:
Yea those are the two key words dummy.
But even that didn't work out last night despite playing with way more help.
The irony that you capped off your little spiel going after Favre for his playoff crashouts while defending Lamar at the same time is quite amusing as well.

“He has a much better team but still finds ways to lose”
That’s pretty much blaming Lamar Jackson my guy. No one mentioned that Henry fumble until now. I wonder why? Probably doesn’t fit the selling point I guess. Smh Mark Andrews dropped a big pass in the playoffs. But that too was Lamar fault. There’s levels to this shyt he says, yes like a team choking a game they dominated most of the time. Only we stop at one level “blame Lamar” and nothing else.
You can say I like, I’ll take Josh Allen over Lamar Jackson. Who is screaming that’s a crime? But miss me with this corny hot takes you dudes throw out there.

Then proceeded to write that crap up above. Weirdos I swear lol

I'm not going to insult you my man but I would highly recommend going on YouTube to watch breakdowns of WHY Lamar makes the run game. Makes his RBs job a hell of a lot easier. Henry was signed to a 2 year 16 million dollar deal when he left the Titans. That's nothing in today's NFL. Nobody thought he was THAT guy anymore. Lamar has given him running lanes he hasn't seen his entire career.
Anyways, the point is the reason Lamar has has a great running game his entire career? It's in large part because of him.
Go read a book GOBB. Watching and interpreting football may not be your strong suit. :lol

It's not like Henry was some bum before he signed with the Ravens, he signed a 16 million deal because he hit 30, the age where most running backs fall off a cliff. Henry just happens to take care of his body in ways other players don't, that is documented. I feel Lamar has made strides as a passer as he has aged, but I still wouldn't call it top tier. To me he is below Mahomes, Burrow, & Allen as an overall player, but I have him at the #4 spot which is no insult. Herbert might have a breakout year putting him ahead of Lamar this season.
