I made this post below on February 2 in one of 3dumb's threads. It's wild how everyone couldn't see the Lakers as complete fool's gold this season.

"If we can be honest here for a second, although Luka is very redundant given Lebron/Reaves have been very good with ball handling duties recently, the biggest and by far worst issue is the Lakers defense. Reaves is also a bad defender and the Lakers ALREADY had bad depth at the C position. Without AD and now a backcourt of Reaves/Luka, the Lakers will have the worst interior defense in the league and probably a bottom 5 rebounding team too. They have NO SHOT at even competing in the first round of the playoffs as currently structured in my opinion."

Luka and reaves d certainly their biggest problem. They should be able tonrebound with lebron luka and vanderbilt though vanderbiltbisnt playing. Minny going small should help them but redick not using his bench negates that

It was Rui's bad defense that allowed Edwards to go off. Rui is a very bad perimeter defender for his position.

I still think he's going to be a good coach but Redick's inexperience showed a bit there not doing any subs in the second half. That means he has no faith in over half of his players and now they know it. Going to make it harder to get contributions out of guys in game 5 after damaging relationship and/or confidence across-the-board. Also Redick should realize that his two best players have endurance issues with James being old and Doncic being out of shape. The bench players have to play some, even if they aren't any good. Play the bench in Game 5 and they still may lose but if Doncic and James don't get a break they are guaranteed to lose.

Doncic isnt in shape, lakers turned it over or gave up rebounds every 2nd possession for 3 quarters, Reaves and Rui havent been as good as expected. Otherwise this is 3-1 lakers.

Are they an incomplete team? Yes, but still good enough to go all the way.

Did you read my post at all? In my post I mentioned they be a bottom 5 rebounding team along with being terrible defensively. You can't have no big men, be bad at defense, be bad a rebounding, and do anything noteworthy in the playoffs.

Maybe the Lakers win game 5 and kindle some hope.

One thing I did not expect is Reddick to coach poorly. Yeah he is a rookie coach, but playing the whole starting 5 the whole second half, all the while knowing Luka is out of shape and Lebron is 40/the oldest player in the league for the 3rd year in a row? Literally braindead stuff. The Lakers even had a 10 minute lead going into the 4th :biggums:
