Re: Lakers fans cheering for the Magic have a reality check coming...
Any cheering for Orlando was simply due to the home court factor. No disrespect to Orlando - we're 0-2 against them this season so we know what they can do and the matchup problems they present us with. A fairly simple concept for most people, really.
Re: Lakers fans cheering for the Magic have a reality check coming...
I think the lakers will have trouble with dwight one on one. Too strong for pau and too quick for bynum. However, the lakers are quick and long enough to double dwight and still get back to the shooters. Dwight isn't a good enough passer, especially on the move.
Orlando is in trouble. Lewis can't possibly slow gasol down. If he starts burning LA on offense, odom can come in and keep up with him. Ariza can give hedo fits. Pietrus matches up pretty well with kobe, but he's the only one on the magic. LA in 5.
Not really. Dwight isn't that good, as people make him out to be. He is not even as good as Yao Ming. Perkins pretty much kept him in check, in the Boston series. Bynum and Gasol will do good versus him.
Dwight Howard is just not that dominate. He basically can only dunk. That little hook shot he has been doing is underdeveloped and teams will give him that shot all night. He isn't good at the free throw line consistently. He doesn't have pretty much any kind of basket moves.
He has key weaknesses and they will all get exposed versus the Lakers. I'm thinking people on ISH will quickly jump off the Dwight Howard bang wagon soon enough.
Re: Lakers fans cheering for the Magic have a reality check coming...
You probably also said this.
Lakers have no answer for Yao Ming
Lakers have no answer for the Denver Nuggets.
I remember this other guy on another site who was massive Heat hater, who said this in the 2006 playoffs.
-Heat will lose to the Bulls
-Heat will lose to the Nets
-Heat will lose to the Pistons
-Heat will lose to the Mavericks.
Guess what happened?
Lakers are going to win, they have no answer for Gasol or Kobe.
The Matchups are gonna be great in this series. Both teams really match up well with each other and have good versatility off the bench.
Magic can go big with Dwight & Battie/Gortat if they need keep Bynum & Pau in check.
Or they can stick to 'small ball' and play Dwight & Shard to match if PJ plays the Bynum/Pau & Odom front court.
@ Small Forward, Orlando can rotate Hedo/Shard/Pietrus in depending on if they need to go big or small
@Shooting Guard, Lee & Pietrus are both very good defenders but Kobe is Kobe. LA has the edge here.
@ Point Guard, If Orlando had Jameer I would pick Orlando to win. Jameer would give Orlando a similar edge a PG that LA has at shooting guard. As seen earlier in the year, there's no way Fisher could check him. Idk but I just dont trust Alston as much. If Alston can step it up in this series Orlando may have a chance, but I just dont think we have enough firepower w/o Jameer. If LA is playing their best game, and Orlando is playing our best game, I think LA would win. If LA hits some kind of slump, I think Orlando has an outside chance. So let's get it, Orlando! Anything Is Possible!!!!

The Magic will crush the Lakers if LeBron doesn't pull a historic performance to bring the Cavs back in this one (cavs are down by 15 points in the first half as I type this)
Lakers just won by 25 points..Your right, CRUSH!!!

Perfect example of why I respect you Brans. Many people may not know the past discussions you and Bruce have had and how many times youve called each other out for whatever reasons but right here you had a chance to throw the game in his face (Like someone else couldnt wait to do) and you were cool about it. If LA wins the series you probably wont be as cool about it but you and Bruce have a past of going at each other so I think by now its almost expected of one another.
Re: Lakers fans cheering for the Magic have a reality check coming...
All of the butt-hurt Lakers fans who post in this thread are just the type of fan I'm talking about. You should have been pulling for the Cavs but you proved your bias against LeBron by cheering for the better team, the Magic, who's gonna smack your boy Kobe right out of his shoes by scoring up and down on that Lakers defense.
It's official, after seeing how much you guys cheered against LeBron, I'm cheering for the Magic in the finals. That's if LeBron doesn't pull some crazy crap here in the second half.
Good call
Re: Lakers fans cheering for the Magic have a reality check coming...
The Magic got a reality check today. I have no doubts that they will show up in the next game though.

Me and Bruce are Arch Rivals....Deep down we love Going at it...He Fuels my Fire..:oldlol: ..In reality...I respect his knowledge on the Old-school era of the game...And I enjoy his Vids on MJ and LeBron...But you know (deep down inside) Bruce goes overboard with his Kobe Agenda...I respect that your his friend, so you dust it aside, but he's a trip sometimes...But, much respect..
