Christ just let him do what he does, only non Laker fans care about this because it's only things like this they have left when it comes to criticizing him. He has become a complete player, the player Laker fans always hoped he'd become.
The article was horrible anyways, just trying to set opinions into peoples minds.
Oh and this:
"Unlike LeBron, though, Kobe can't let his game speak for him."

The guy is in the spotlight of millions of people. I would be amazed at anyone's actions not being contrived when placed in that situation. Dumb thread.
Yep the only logical post in this entire thread. I mean really in today's media where every little thing you do can be overblown its best to control as much as possible. So Kobe isn't beloved? Does this stuff really matter? He has 5 rings(and counting) and that's all that matters when his career winds down.
I mean people loved Michael Jordan but I have always hated his ass can't please everyone:confusedshrug:
Kobe's personality is contrived? Is that all you've got? That's just a lame criticism that by design is impossible to prove or disprove. Kobe is intense during the playoffs. He scowls and talks trash, big f**king deal. I think Kobe singled out Battier because much was being made by the announcers about Battier's "hand in the face" defense on Kobe. It's not that hard to figure out.
Haters must be out of legitmate complaints about Kobe so they start in on this bullsh*t. Nice try douchebags.

What is kobe supposed to do after hitting a tough shot? Start laughing and giggling and shit? Of course he's got the 'scowl' on. Thats just pure concentration and energy. Dude plays to win and feeds off competition. These espn guys are just all pussies that can't hang with that type killer instinct and drive. They have none of it themselves so they assume its just an act.

Some of the posts in this thread really make me question if some of you suffer from a deep seeded depression or intense feelings of insecurity and cope with these shortcomings by channeling all your negative energy into a hatred for Kobe Bryant.
I'm still trying figure out what you guys are so mad about. All the OP did was ask a question and people responded. Stop with the bullshit hater conspiracies when people are just answering a question. No one went out of their way to respond to this question.
Just got finished watching 1st and 10 and they have a football player (not sure what his name is) debating with Skip Bayless... the topic at hand was 'most hated athletes', based off the recent "Q" ratings . The two talked about LeBron, Chad Johnson, T.O etc, but when Kobe's name was mentioned, the football player immediately expressed his dislike for Kobe. "The scowl, the tough guy act, everything seems so contrived and phony it's no wonder he's on that list" (paraphrasing here). Skip pretty much agreed and that was that. After the segment I asked myself, do people really this sh*t? Did a little a searching and came across these...
I don't really have an opinion on the subject (more mutual than anything) but what do you guys think?
Honestly, why are you guys so defensive? Dude just asked a question. I'm honestly confused as to where the outrage comes from in this thread. We've got people crying through text in here when only a small percentage of the posts were wrong/stupid.
Powerglove is a bitter Celtics fan. Get over it, June was months ago clown.

No, I'm not, stop making assumptions.
That is the last time I click view post for you. All you post is garbage. Why not go into the OTC and claim you went on a louis shopping spree again?

Not really defensive.
My negativity was directed towards the article, not the poster.
It's just funny the perception of things depending on the side you're on. I remember the game vs the Rockets when he yelled at Collins, and while this guy is sitting there nit picking "umf why is Kobe yelling at Doug", I thought "YES Kobe is in the fking zone, no way we're getting beat tonight!"
Point is that only someone else than Laker fans would think about this in a negative way, and Kobe shouldn't be worried about that.

You're the one whose mad. We are answering the question just like everyone else. You don't like what we wrote so you try to put us on blast. I told you what I think. It's a weak arguement originated by people that wanted to make Kobe look bad in a way that no one could disprove. I've been hearing this bulls*t from people since the 90's. I'm not mad, I just think it's nonsense, and it is the invention of Kobe haters.

I'm mad?
You're the one with the conspiracy theories laden with vulgarities. Please. You didn't even answer the question Jackass.
No one is using it as an argument for anything. Where do you get this stuff from? This has been one of the most cordial Kobe threads I have ever seen and you're one of the few who is messing it up with your lame ass accusations.

That guy wasn't knit picking, how many times have you seen player yell at a commentator during the game?
is kobe's personality starting to get overrated around here?
Powerglove is a bitter Celtics fan. Get over it, June was months ago clown.
No, he's not. He hates the Celtics.
He's just a hater. I don't think I've seen him post anything positive about a player or team. :lol
LeBron's personality sucks cause he doesn't take basketball seriously.

That's just the way I talk, f*ckface. Sorry to offend. Let me answer the question for you again.
YES, a lot of people think that Kobe's personality is contrived. But they're idiots. Satisfied?

Wrong.
The amount of ignorance in this thread is appalling. Did you know that people take vacations? That people do not always live in the same city as their favorite team?
Where do you guys live?
In Atlanta it's like that all the time. People from Cali, New York, Chicago, etc. You can find people repping any team down here.
anyways, Kobe was like....

Because they know it's true and are probably just as insecure about Kobe's personality as Kobe himself. They are the Kobe Police after all. Anyone points out a flaw about the man and they come running.
