I have a question for anyone who has great cap knowledge.

With Joe Smith's salary being a little over 1 million and Sasha's being 5 million, does this mean the Lakers will have a trade exception of a little under/over 4 million? If that's the case, could they then use that exception to absorb the salary of another player if they decide to make another move? Thanks in advance to anyone who can provide the answer.

The Rockets seem to get their hands on plenty of young guys with great upside who's original team is just fed-up. I wouldn't be surprised if they get Hasheem Thabeet soon to learn behind their vet bigs.
