The Knicks under Woodson is the 4th seed pretty easily. Not only that but they are a defensive team with a bench. They are an unknown team because even they played in a very limited way under D'Antoni and without Amare under Woodson. If Amare plays in a lively way then they are like a 3rd seed team. With Woodson the Knicks will clog the lane and play disciplined defense. Miami becomes a strange beast once you get Wade and Lebron shooting jumpers, that's what makes them stumble over each other and they become a team without a leader, at least for a game or two.
I wish I could say the Knicks get calls but they don't. While they do have a bench with fouls to give its a loosing battle to go that route. But the Knicks can give them five close games, and with Carmello that's striking range.

Do the 2012 Knicks remind anyone of the 2011 Mavericks, the team who had the exact recipe to beat the Heat?
Underdog status? Check
A veteran PG? Check (Davis)
Defensive C to protect the paint? Check (Chandler)
Deadly Go to Scorer with Clutch gene? Check (Melo)
Two/three defensive stoppers that can guard Lebron/Wade? Check (Shumpert, Fields and Jeffries)
A crazy goon that can hit 3s off the bench, and particularly in the clutch to ignite the crowd? Check (JR Smith)
Then you add Amare, Novak, and possibly Lin to that squad, and it's pretty easy to see that the Knicks have a legitimate shot at upsetting the Heat. People need to know, the Knicks are a lot better than their current record indicates. They're a completely different team once Woodson took over. If I'm the Miami Heat, I don't want the NY Knicks in the 1st round.
We can only hope the actual Miami Heat take the Knicks as lightly as their stans do on this forum.

The Knicks and company want the Bulls because they know they can score enough points with Amare back and Melo playing this well. Bosh owned the Knicks this season even with Tyson Chandler there this season if i can remember right.
The only way the Heat would fall to the Knicks is when LeBron go into 2011 Finals mode and Wade and Bosh not stepping up while Melo and Amare playing lights out at the same time.
