Wilt Chamberlain.

Again, I fail to see how Magic has a legitimate argument to be this high, but that's just me.
WALLAH! MAGIC :pimp:
Bill Russell
Magic.
Bill Russell. Magic wasn't better than Bird in my eyes.
Magic and Wilt have Russell beat on the impact on the game front.
Nah. Russell is pretty much the reason teams started trying to win with defense. Magic had a popularity impact and some bigger players wanted to handle the ball and all but his impact cant really match Russell.
Wilt had the greatest impact on the way the rules are now considering hes the reason for offensive goaltending, not jumping at the Ft line, the lane being made wider, not being able to inbound the ball over the backboard and all that.
But far as how teams went about winning? What was considered defense? Before Bill Russell bigmen were taught to never leave the floor so they could react quickly and not be stuck in the air. Bill started jumping to block shots and was told to stop before people noticed the other teams were scoring 40-50 points when he was in college.
Bill literally changed the game.
Oh and I love magic....not like. Love. One of my favorite players in the history of sports. All sports.
But I remember the mid to late 80s/early 90s...
Lerry Bird was considered better than him. Even when people point to Magics best yearsl ike "This is when it became Magics time...." people still had Bird as the best. Then MJ.
Im sure someone felt Magic was best. But its like how some consider Durant and Kobe the best now.
Larry was Lebron of the 80s far as widespread belief that hes #1.
Jerry Sloan had him as the GOAT in his second season. Larry was so respected its hard to explain it with a modern player.
The idea that Magic was better than him really gained steam online. That wasnt what people thought at the time.
Same vote as last time, Bill Russell.
