Shot jacker
The idiot broke the missed shots record years and YEARS before he can ever claim the points record.. :oldlol:
Tells you what he is. A fake who rode top frontcourts through western conference playoffs that no other western team could match upfront.. and rode shaq before that.
Because he is clearly an inferior player to both Michael Jordan and Lebron James. Those guys put up their efficiency regardless of rules, eras, etc because they have the skill and more importantly the genius basketball IQ.
inferior?....there is a 1.2% TS% difference between MJ and Kobe ( as I showed in my previous post)....how can that be looked at as inferior when Kobe has done everything throughout his career and is less then 2% difference then Michael Jordan....

Teams/the league were more interior oriented and took far less 3s in Jordan's era. Which is why his domination is even more impressive in retrospect. A guard leading his team to championships in that era without an offensively dominant big man was an anomaly. Jordan did it 6x. Look who was in the championship series when Jordan was playing baseball- Shaq, Hakeem, Ewing.
Not only is the league completely perimeter oriented now, big men for the most part are garbage with a few exceptions. Just look at Dwight, he has been accepted by the vast majority of sports fans as the best, most dominant center in the game today and he's arguably the 3rd option on the Lakers, playing behind a shot-jacking guard. The best C in the game is the third option on his team, think about that for a second.
Jordan did dominate.....no question. But trying to spin it that he had no " Dominate Center"???....he had a great team that nearly beat the NY Knicks...without Jordan!!!
The Bull's were filled with great players top to bottom.....Kobe played with Shaq early on...but those Lakers teams were no where near as deep as MJ's Bull's teams....even in 94' 3 Bull's were allstars!!
and Kobe has gone against some of the best Bigs in NBA History.....Duncan , Garnett , Ming , Howard and Hakeem etc..etc..
trying to say MJ had no great center is dumb...he had HOF teamates and the greatest defender/rebounder of the era for 3 of his titles....the Bull's were a great team without Jordan ...as proven through a 82 game season.
Lebron started taking better quality shots. In the years where he was in the 47-49% range, he was taking 4-5 3s per game. Since he's cut down his 3s to 2-4 per game, he's shot in the 51-54% range. It's simple logic, you cut down on chucking from long distance, you use bball IQ and take higher quality shots, you play more efficiently. You can at least admit that Kobe from time to time takes the worst shots imagineable when he's in hero ball mode, can't you? And Wade has been in the .495-50% range for 4 seasons, virtually half his career. If Kobe is the GOAT, you'd think he'd be a better slasher and driver and have a higher bball IQ. If he's lacking in those areas, then he's obviously not in that conversation.
- again....if you saying Kobe shoots 1.2% lower TS% then MJ....that means he doesn't have a high BBAll IQ....you are 100% wrong....
- marginal stat differences does not tell if a player has a BB iq....over a decade of Top shelf defense and offense and the most titles in the 00's should hold far more weight then 1% TS
- Lebron did change his game a little...he also has 2 other top 10 players who can score.....he also put up the biggest choke job in superstar history....how's that IQ again???
I agree, the rule changes have forced a more perimeter oriented game. More guys are out there chucking 3s instead of looking for more optimal shots (with the exception of the truly elite players and teams). The best players in the league do not have any issues scoring with efficiency. Their skill and IQ overcome any situation. Those who can't are the overrated ones.
Hondo has 8 championships, jussayin'.
- yes and he also shot 43% despite only taking 5 3's his whole career.....
- and Kobe is one of the best players in the league.....that's why he is so efficient, that's why he has so many titles, that's why he is only 1.2% differnece TS% then MJ.....that's why he is still a top player in the league after so many years.
question..
player A has taken 0 3pointers, drawn 0 fouls. he's shot 20000 times and is 50% from the field.
for his career, player B has taken 0 2pointers, drawn 0 fouls. he's shot 20000 times and is 40% from the field.
did player A and his career 50% shooting do better than player B and his career 40% shooting?
56% career TS. 59% TS this year. +3-4% relative to league average over his decade long prime (01-10).
Dude is one of the most efficient high-volume players ever. lol @ the ignorance of these clowns. :lol

YUP....and
Ts% isn't perfect but it does say a lot more than FG% will.
You can look at zone FG% with draw rate, usage and 3pt shooting to get an idea of what's goin on, plus video analysis to supplement but at a base,
TS% does tell you far more who is performing well per-possession as a scorer. There are always contextual factors to consider, but the kind of arguments these clowns / TROLLS are putting out here are exactly the kind of BS that destroys basketball thinking
I know i was most likely responding to trolls.....but whateva...
