Re: Should I have slept with her?
I commend you op for reaching out you almost had it but somehow still had the conscience not to do it. All things have fallen into its place you did the right thing to ask.
One thing that could back fire is since you guys are co workers and the girl might black mail you or anything. if not then problem is solved.
If you see your kid say sorry .. just the thought of cheating would actually hurt your wife it may not show but if you ask me once you tell her be ready and do not be defensive.
Communication is the key ... I believe none of this would have happen if you talk to your wife about it.
I also want to ask you a favor do not entertain the thought of i love her and tend to say you just dont love her anymore because all she wanted was the experience... What if another girl comes around and they want more?
i hope you realize that just the thought of cheating may lead to something one day. you may disregard it now but as you said you are a stable man and girls dig that specially if you are handsome. hell even if you are not if you have $$$$ girls wont even think twice of screwing your life.
Goodluck
Re: Should I have slept with her?
Don't do it. When you have a boyfriend or girlfriend, fine. When you're married, you are obligated and should therefore stay committed.

Telling his wife this situation is the LAST thing he should do. Nothing happened so nothing to tell. Telling his wife he is sexually attracted to a co-worker who would engage back is not going to end well. there are certain things men should be permitted to hide and this is one of them.
If he does tell my suggestion is to bend the truth. Admit to the girl liking him, tell his wife he did not do anything, leave the part out where he wanted to screw her. It's the only way he comes out golden.
Oh gimme a break. I've been together with my current fiance for nearly 11 years and haven't had an issue. It's not that hard to be faithful. Hell I don't even have a kid and you were still willing to put that shit on the line, because you're bored and can't put the effort in to make your marriage interesting.
I'd also like to point out what a major ****ing loser you have to be for you to actually type "Thanks InsideHoops, you saved my marriage."
Look at you.
Of course it's easy to remain faithful when you look like you. No woman is throwing themselves at you. Absolute none.
Easy to talk about topics you will never fully understand. You're a legit troll.
Re: Should I have slept with her?
WTF man you used to be obsessed with her and even mentioned her in every post on this message board.
Are you living proof that life long married monogamy is not healthy or natural for humans? Even a man as in love with his wife as you are even cheated on her.
You never know how you're going to react to something until you're in that situation is all I can say. You can say you'll be as faithful as possible, but you can only hope that you'll be faithful if the opportunity comes. Actually doing it is a whole different story.
Re: Should I have slept with her?
Cheating is tricky. For someone in your situation that shit will come back to bite you in the ass, I doubt that you could keep something that started in the office under wraps. I don't see anything morally wrong about wanting to fulfill your natural desire to f*ck tons of women but the story changes when you involve a kid and a committed relationship. The way I would view it is that you have a lot more to lose then you have to gain when it comes to a quick fling. Assuming your wife does her best to hold up her end of the relationship would you even be able to blame her or your kid for thinking you are a piece of shit?
Re: Should I have slept with her?
if you didn't have a child and you were unhappy with your relationship, you should have gone for it. but once you have a child that looks up to you as a role model and as a father, your responsibility in life changes. can you imagine how your child will react in ten years down the line if he finds out that you cheated on his mother? he's look at you as another crappy father that didn't take care of his family. man up, act like a dad and take responsibility for the actions and decisions you made in your life man
Re: Should I have slept with her?
And let's not kid ourselves, any man will cheat if put in the right situation. It's all about thinking ahead and avoiding putting yourself in tempting situations which is easier said then done. OP you didn't miss out this time, trust me. Perhaps if you hadn't been laid in years then yeah you should've jumped at it but for now just comfort yourself with your trusty left hand and take solace in the fact that you don't have to deal with the headache and regret that would've came up sooner or later if you took the 60 seconds to bang that tight 25-year old puzzy

yeah in the end it all comes down to short term vs. long term gratification. your body is made to lust after that *****. however, it isn't the sex part that matters. it's the consequence of the sex. think about it this way; 30 years down the road, are you going to be wishing you hit it or thankful that your kid didn't look at you like a deadbeat dad because you weren't satisfied with his mom?

There are COUNTLESS men out there who were in OP's exact situation who wish they could go back in time and avoid doing exactly what the OP wanted to do. Consider yourself lucky OP because circumstance made a decision for you that you weren't ready to make

For shame!
Glad you and the wife are working things out. You're on the short leash from hell though. Don't screw up.

Pretty much every man in a relationship is presented with that situation at least once. The majority of us aren't weak enough to submit to it; you just think about the ones you love and how you'll hurt them. It's pretty easy if you have half a brain to do the right thing.
