This is exactly what will happen.

It should be noted... Trump is deathly afraid of Joe Biden. He will take his chances with Warren, Sanders, Harris and the others, but he, and his team, are terrified of Biden. But it's no surprise... Biden is absolutely murdering him in the national polls and in the state polls. Trump is certain to become increasingly desperate in the coming months.

It's unfortunate this came up now. It would have been much better after Biden became the nominee because eventually this is going to come back and bite Biden right in the ass. What is an undeniable fact is that Biden personally threatened to withhold a billion dollars to the Ukraine if they didn't fire the prosecutor that was investigating the company his son was working with. This won't bring down Trump but has the ability to blow up in spectacular fashion in the face of Biden.

What is interesting is that the Obama administration advocated that the prosecutor in question be fired because he actually wasn't investigating anyone or anything, in spite of significant corruption... not even Hunter Biden. He wasn't fired because he was investigating anyone. The prosecutor who replaced him immediately began opening investigations into corruption.

As for Trump asking Ukraine to open up an investigation into a political opponent's son in order to hurt his political opponent... let's see if the stories of withholding financial aid are true. I imagine you'd agree that is indeed unfortunate.
