Obviously the tariffs work. Biden kept ALL the Trump tariffs in place when he took office. They are a bargaining tool for trade that is imbalanced. Look at the border. The Democrats had a 120 billion dollar border bill, that they said they needed to pass in order to secure the border, then said(along with Off The Court and Bladefd ) that Republicans didn't care about border security because they wouldn't pass it. Well most of the "border bill" was money going to the Ukraine. Trump got all that shit done immediately, without any stupid bill, with Mexico's help. Why didn't Biden ask them?

Trump will continue negotiate the best deals for the US as long as there are growing trade deficits. It's that simple. And why not? It's best for the country. He can ask for the moon but settle for a piece here, and a piece there. The Democrats will bitch and moan like Trump doesn't know what he's doing but they will keep all the gains he has won. Just like his border wall they expanded, just like the tariffs against China he put in place, just the the trade agreements with Mexico and Canada he got in his first term
