Re: According to the mayor of LA, you're an american as soon as you step foot on U.S
Don't you regularly talk smack about Latinos, Muslims, and blacks? Coulda sworn I've seen you take aim at POC on this forum, so you saying all of this now is pretty meaningless. If it wasn't you, then I apologize.
According to the Gallup poll, 73% of Republicans want immigration decreased. Want more data, here's an article on views on immigrants and refugees...

It's actually worse than I thought, lol.
I despise Islam. And mass immigration clearly doesn't work whether it be legal or not. Just look at Europe. You're trying to paint people who oppose illegal immigration as bigots, and it will not stick my friend. I support legal immigration. And if the country is becoming too populated and we don't have the resources to keep up with legal migration to this country, then we have the right to halt the process or slow the numbers down. Migrating to this country isn't a right.
Stop trying to paint someone who doesn't want this country to be overrun as some sort of bigot. It's stupid.
Re: According to the mayor of LA, you're an american as soon as you step foot on U.S
Not really. I clearly said "many if not most". You're getting hung up on the wording, but the premise still remains. Who is more likely to speak against immigration, who ended the refugee program (except for whites), who wanted to scrap DACA (inhumane), etc? As for decreased immigration, it's all anti-immigrant. Here's a Gallup article:
You can call this whatever you like. It's all anti-immigrant. And a significant number of conservatives simply don't like black and brown people.
That Gallup article....was it written before or after Biden let 20mil+ illegals into the United States?
Just curious
nvm.... I saw it was written in August of last year which explains why Republicans felt the way they did at the time.
Re: According to the mayor of LA, you're an american as soon as you step foot on U.S
USA wasn't running like a 40 trillion dollar government deficit back then bro. And there were way less people back then so a population increase wasn't a big deal. Now it is. I don't think you realize how broken the house of cards is that the USA government is currently operating as.
The USCIS is a $6 billion dollar department, pennies in the grand scheme of things, especially when legal immigrants are paying their way. Sponsors are financially responsible for who they bring and reliance on government aid affects your citizenship application.
I'm not saying that the process' time should be the same as it was in 1940. I'm saying it shouldn't be anywhere near as long as it is now. That would incentivize legal immigration.
Once again, I'm not for illegal immigration, and I do generally agree with most of the deportations. But there's nuance to this discussion that you and other Conservatives aren't admitting to.

Then you despise nearly 26% of the world's population. Good luck with that homie. And thanks for telling us you basically hate immigrants. Idk what this "mass immigration" problem it is that you speak of, but using Europe as an example is dumb because those are Democratic-Socialist nations. No one is saying we need to take on millions of refugees simultaneously with all of our other legal pathways.
And this is how I know you're falling for the rhetoric. The most amount of refugees we've ever taken in in a single year was 207,000 back in 1980. So where is this "mass immigration" coming from? Oh, that is unless you mean regular LEGAL immigration. Apparently it was good for your ancestors but not for anyone else.
You support legal immigration when it's your kind. That's the crux of the matter. And claiming overpopulation is nonsensical. The US is not overpopulated. Most of the country is made up of farms and rural areas, mountains, and underdeveloped terrain that have people who think like you living there.
And no one is saying we should use tax dollars to fund legal immigrants anyway. That's not how the green card process even works.

You're not following my argument. The statistic was about LEGAL immigration. And I posted another research study after that. Conservatives want to have their cake and eat it too...decry immigrants, fight DACA and deport people who came as children and lived their entire lives here, free of crime, to cartel and drug infested areas of their home countries, ban refugees (except for whites), say that immigrants are a threat, complain about immigrants all the time and demand legal immigration be curbed....
....then after all of that, take to public spaces like ISH and claim how you're not against legal immigration. This has been the literal rubric of America for most of its history. Lookup the Chinese Exclusion Act of 1882, look up quotas in order to prevent Eastern European Jews and Italians from coming to the country in the 1920s, lookup the refusal to enter 36,000 Holocaust refugees during WW2, Japanese being barred from land ownership or citizenship in 1913, policies during the 1930s against Mexicans, etc.
Fast forward to today, and it's just more of the same. Good luck because 50 years from now, we'll be looking back at this and wondering again, "why were people so horrid?"

it's funny that their rethetoric is verbatim all across the board. a lot of people on the left, or just a lot of americans in general do not support illegal immigrants. but people like patrick and the other bozo keep using the same tired argument "they are a burden on our social welfare system, crime, they hate america, etc".
the real issue in LA right now is how the feds are handling deportations and treating people in general. the fast tracked deportation system violating any due process is inhumane, again, i am not advocating they get to stay here, but when feds pick them up and they're in a plane to who knows where before their family even knows what detention center they were at to get an attorney, they're gone. what the fvck. and then the idiot president antagonizes people that are frustrated with these scare tactics. LA riots are being escalated bc of how the feds are treating everyone, including citizens.
people like patrick just feed off of fox news 24/7, they have brain rot. they are unable to think for themselves. what fox news doesn't show is how discriminatory ICE/DHS/HSI has been lately, they disregard legal identification and just choose who to detain and abduct based on their emotional state that day. that's absolutely not OK. i haven't heard a single peep from a MAG fakkit regarding the US Marshall (federal law enforcement officer) that was detained by ICE for being a hispanic, or the construction worker that was sent to a detention center even after he showed a government ID, apparently ICE told him it's fake and took him away. That's a lawsuit and a nice payday for the lunacy of the feds. Of course, neither the agents nor their superiors or Trump will ever take accountability for that stuff. The next president, likely a democrat, will be cleaning up trump's mess for a long time.

This is what cretins like you do, you accuse the other side of negative things to make your point of view more valid. Nowhere did I say or imply that I hate immigrants. So stop this lying and this nonsense you're spewing. Time and time again I have supported legal immigration. My family are immigrants. Just stop making shit up and perhaps you can have an honest conversation with the other side for once in your life.

Clowns like Hoops over here think that all Latinos are a monolith and think alike. Unless you're a Latino yourself, then you don't know how we feel on the issue. And I can say with certainty that the majority of Latinos in this country DO NOT support illegal immigration.

you are not a real latino, you don't have a clue of how difficult it is to become a legal immigrant. your family got asylum byb just saying that fidel was after them. that's all they had to say and they were granted entry, even if they were not under any danger. mexicans and south americans applying for a visa have to wait a long time, get vetted, pay a lot of money (relative to their incomes) and wait a year or 2 to get an appointment at an embassy. there is no "yes mister, fidel want to kill me" and boom! you're in. so SHUT DA FUKK UP.
Re: According to the mayor of LA, you're an american as soon as you step foot on U.S
and i've never met a hard working cuban. ya'll are lazy af, must be in a constant diabetic coma from eating all those plantains. let me know when you've had to walk across the hot sonoran desert fighting off coyotes, snakes, scorpions and dodging the border patrol while being extremely dehydrated, suffering from heat stroke crossing mountain terrains.
that's right you plantain eating b1tch, nothing has ever been easy for a mexican immigrant.
Re: According to the mayor of LA, you're an american as soon as you step foot on U.S
Its fun imagining ICE deporting Chewing for being Latino. But then your imagination is let down by the reality that Chewing is an insanely fat white guy who lives in the south and collects 4XL NBA jerseys.
Re: According to the mayor of LA, you're an american as soon as you step foot on U.S
Since the L.A. Wildfires and seeing how Karen Bass has handled everything. I cannot believe that person was ever voted in to run that city. She is incompentant.

Nope. Wrong on all accounts. My family did not get political asylum. My family came here in the 60's and applied for citizenship legally. Your mind is so sick that you think you speak for all Latinos. We're not sick degenerates like you.
