Kane, who finished his collegiate career playing for coach Fred Hoiberg after three seasons at Marshall, is slated to go late in the second round (53rd overall) by NBADraft.net.
The Jazz have the fifth, 23rd and 35th picks of the June 26 draft, and the team is expecting to bring in a slew of players for evaluations over the next couple of weeks.

[QUOTE]Tyrone Corbin might not be out of a job for long.
The former Utah Jazz head coach is in the "very early stages" of the interview process to become an assistant under Michael Malone with an "interested" Sacramento Kings organization, a source confirmed to the Deseret News.
Corbin was informed in April by the Jazz that his coaching contract would not be renewed after the conclusion of Utah's 25-57 season. Corbin had spent the past 10 years with the Jazz in various coaching capacities, including in his position as head coach the past three-and-a-half seasons.
After taking over for Sloan during the middle of the 2010-11 season, Corbin guided the Jazz to a 112-146 record in oft-difficult circumstances. The highlight of Corbin's coaching career in Utah came in the 2012 lockout season when he led the Jazz to the playoffs.
Corbin has spoken highly of Sacramento and its fans over the years. The 51-year-old played for the Kings in 1995-96 and again in 2000-01 during his 16-year NBA career.

May 31, 2014 6:09 PM EDT
Adrian Griffin will interview a second time for the Utah Jazz's head coach opening in the next week, according to sources.
The Jazz could be near the end of their coaching search, with multiple candidates separating themselves from the pack.
Griffin originally interviewed with the Jazz two weeks ago. Griffin, who has served as an assistant coach on Tom Thibodeau's staff, is reportedly also a candidate for the Cleveland Cavaliers and New York Knicks.
Quin Snyder will also receive a second interview with the Jazz.

[QUOTE]Multiple league sources say that there are a surprising number of top picks for "sale" this year. "I thought getting a lottery pick via trade would be virtually impossible this year," one NBA GM told Insider. "It's not. There are a lot of teams in the lottery right now that would prefer a proven player. A lot of owners have lost their patience with the rebuilding process." ESPN.com
Among the teams that would be open to trading their lottery pick? It's highly likely that the Milwaukee Bucks, Philadelphia 76ers, Orlando Magic and Utah Jazz are all holding onto their picks. ESPN.com
However, after pick No. 5 things are much more fluid. Sources say that the Boston Celtics, Los Angeles Lakers, Sacramento Kings, Charlotte Hornets, Timberwolves and Phoenix Suns are all open to offers. [...] While the Celtics, Lakers, Kings, Hornets, Wolves and Suns aren't likely to get an All-Star for their picks, they should be able to score players or multiple assets that help their teams right now. Look for the Bucks, Hawks, Mavs, Blazers and Raptors to be especially busy trying to move up or acquire a second pick. ESPN.com

I'd say it remains to be seen. They are still getting compensation for the contracts of Al and Paul in the expiring contracts and picks from the GS deal which was made possible by letting them go. A star could still possibly ome from the core and they could still get a top 3 pick or a top 3 caliber pick drop to them anyway.
[QUOTE]Yup.
Well, life goes on, hangovers are blessedly of limited duration, and once Jazz fans pass through all five stages of grief1 they should realize that there will be a number of exciting prospects available when pick five rolls around on June 26th.
The problem is who to select. And its a doozy.
Andrew Wiggins and Jabari Parker, the two most likely dominant scorers in the draft, are beyond reach now. Joel Embiid, the new Olajuwon in the minds of many, as well. Orlando will almost certainly pick Dante Exum to pair with Victor Oladipo in a hybrid guard duo from Hell.
