Re: OT: Targus's "Rate a Poster" Thread
I expected a crap thread, but it was actually quite entertaining.
If someone feels so moved to do so, you can take your best shot at me.
-your done as a rookie, I know your old school, sometimes it just works out that way.
Pro Comparison:
Rex Chapman
An athletic two guard with limitless range, Rab has the potential to be an all star for many years. After a stellar 3 year college career 'The Rabbi' declared for the draft and wowed scouts with his on court decision making and superior athleticism. Expected to be taken very early in this year's draft Rab will almost certainly step into a starting spot for a rebuilding team. Some scouts have hinted at deficiencies on the defensive end of the floor, but most coaches and GMs feel they can teach an athlete of Rab's caliber how to become a great defender. As close to a 'cant miss' prospect as anyone in this draft.
Strengths:
Alhleticism, shooting range, scoring
Weaknesses:
team defense, defensive footwork, rebounding

NBA comparison:
"The Red Rocket" Matt Bonner
A tweener without NBA talent that somehow made it into the league with determination, hustle and basketball IQ. The Red Rocket is a fan favorite where ever he plays, and seems to have be semi-skilled in all areas of the game..... for him to take the next step he would need to develop one skill really well.
This guy does wonders for team chemistry, and seems pretty jovial/ quirky.
Strengths:
Fitting in, playing within a team, hitting the open 3, diving for loose balls
Weaknesses:
Kryptonite, court time

Re: OT: Targus's "Rate a Poster" Thread
*waits for JtotheIzzo to do the dang thang*
Pro Comparison:
Paul Pierce
A fundamentally sound wing with a calm on court demeanor and solid leadership skills, saKf has been an all star since his sophomore season. A member of the all-inerview team as well as the all NBA team, 'wacky sakky' is a delight both on the court and in the press room. Last year's championship run really showcased saKf's full arsenal of offensive weapons with some teams having no choice but to resort to the 'hack a saKf' defense to try (often with much futility) and expose his poor foul shooting. Scouts and GMs remain perplexed at how a fluid jump shooter could be such a poor free throw shooter.
Strengths:
Scoring, leadership, on court demeanor
Weaknesses:
free throw shooting, transition defense

Re: OT: Targus's "Rate a Poster" Thread
Pro Comparison:
Rick Fox
A heady team player with an abundance of tools, B-Low should be a borderline all star in his prime years. With range out to twenty five feet and a quick first step B-Low can score without plays being drawn up for him. On the defensive end B-Low often draws the toughest assignment and is not one to complain. Focus is an issue with B-Low however as rumors of love affairs gone array and other off courst interests, mainly acting and promoting his rap CD have disrupted his individual and team focus and some teammates in private gripe about his commitment.
Strengths:
five tool offensive threat, good on the ball defense, a willingness to buy into the team concept (ont he court at least).
Weaknesses:
focus, desire, durability
:applause: good ish man lol

Re: OT: Targus's "Rate a Poster" Thread
JtotheIzzo
Pro Comparison:
Sam Perkins
A solid post defender with limitless range, JtotheIzzo has reinvented his game and added years to his career by going from a young all star athletic big to a team oriented veteran. Usually drawing the toughest post opponent everynight Jizzo holds things down inside for his squad while frustrating bigs on the offensive end of the floor by taking them away from the hoop and burying jumpers in their face, all the while opening up the middle for his teammates. Although no longer the player he once was in the transition game, and no longer able to play thirty five minutes a night the Jizz has managed to contribute to championship squads throughout his career.
Strengths:
Interior defense, shooting range, team play
Weaknesses:
foot speed, party lifestyle

Re: OT: Targus's "Rate a Poster" Thread
Pro Comparison:
Antoine Walker
With the ability to fill up a stat sheet in a short time, poorlilrich approaches the game with a great zest and zeal. Like few other players, PLR can make himself the focal point of the attack and dominate the ball. This approach has with it it's own pros and cons as lil-R has fallen out of favor with a few clubs and fans when fortunes turn sour. There is no doubt of the offensive explosiveness in PLR's game but candidly coaches and management rue his shot selection and radio hosts frequently target him (often unfairly) for loses, due mainly to his career 41% fg pct. Last season however was PLR's best as a pro so some GMs will be more than willing to take a chance on him for the MLE when he becomes an unrestricted free agent.
Strengths:
shooting range, offensive rebounding, creatitvity, intensity
Weaknesses:
shot selection, team play, defense
:applause:
thanx man

Re: OT: Targus's "Rate a Poster" Thread
Haha, izzo killed this thread. do me!
Pro Comparison;
Caron Bulter
Offered up as trade bait early in his career with the hopes that someday he will blossom into an All Star, RidonKs really came into his own this season cementing his reputation as a go to scorer and all star caliber player. With a keen knack for getting open looks, Rid-K can score from anywhere on the floor and has the motor to provide intensity on both ends all game long. Not quite ready to step into superstardom yet, Riddy is on the cusp and without doubt one of the best 'Robins' in the league with the potential to soon don his very own batwings.
Strengths:
scoring, getting open, motor
Weaknesses:
team defense, footwork
