It's a damn shame 1 of these teams is done after tonight. The 2 best teams in baseball play each in a 5 game series in a division series :yaohappy:

Lowly?
Won 4 straight divisions and were an inning away from the World Series last year.

Doyers!

The lowly Braves swag one out. Riley MVP.
Scherzer vs Morton should be interesting. Chuck is one of the best postseason pitchers of the last decade and the Braves aren’t scared of Max.
The Dodgers threw their entire bullpen tonight probably assuming Max does work tomorrow. Let’s hope it backfires
Kind of wack that the Braves have HFA just based on winning a shitty division instead of the Dodgers who clearly had the better season. HFA should be based solely on who has the better record.

Hey buddy...

Ugh I hope whoever comes out of the AL spanks the Braves/Dodgers.
Let's go Astros, even though it feels like the Sox are on their every 2-3-4 year magical ride.
Redsox are a strange team. Their offense is absolutely brutal

Thank god we decided to get hot at absolutely the right time.

What’s crazy is the Red Sox are winning without their best player (Sale). That’s like the Lakers winning without LeBron :biggums:

Sale's active and pitched Game 1.

Which they lost

No it’s not.
Red Sox gettin bent over and violated 8th inning on. Altuve with another one of his dramatic clutch postseason HRs and now they have blown it open in the 9th batting around and then some :oldlol:
Which they lost
He's pitching tonight. Look out. :(
I punched my dog after that Braves loss last night.
I punched my dog after that Braves loss last night.
Reported. I'm not a snitch but I can't accept this.
I hugged the hell out of my dog after that Braves win last night.
Tonight feels like a must win for the Braves with Scherzer and Buehler lurking on full rest.

Uh, actually it's the other way around isn't it? Dodgers lose tonight, they go on vacay? TBH, my family in Cali are Doyers fans and I was kinda rooting for them but I'd rather be up 3-1 having to face Scherzer and Buehler at home than be in LA's position having to win 3 in a row but what do I know, I've been entirely wrong on my predictions this postseason so far, lol. Picked STL over LA in the wildcard, WRONG, picked NYY over BoSox in the WC, WRONG! Picked ChiSox over HOU, WRONG! Picked MIL over ATL, WRONG, picking LA over ATL, down 1-3 and BoSox over HOU, down 1-3 there too...glad I'm not a betting man :lol

You ain't wrong. In reality it is the other way around. I wouldn't feel confident in the Braves if they blow Fried vs a bullpen game. The longer this series goes, the more opportunity there is for a player like Trea to turn it around. The Dodgers have received zero from Justin and Trea. If Trea gets right, I've seen enough of this team over the last two months to believe Mookie, Seager, Trea, & Will Smith can carry the offense.
It's the Lefties on the Braves that have been getting the Dodgers out consistently. If I'm Snitker, I don't show them a RHP all game today.
If Fried is consistent, then I go Fried till the 6th, Minter in the 7th, Matzek in the 8th, and Smith to close it out.

I mean the Braves just won a bullpen game last night.
Chasing my dog around the house right now with a bat.
If Sox lose this series, I'm fine with it. The Astros are not a shit team by any stretch and the Sox were never supposed to get this far. Still...a World Series would be fun.
At the end of the day, its important that we're still able to tell the Yankees and Rays to eat our asses. That matters.
Go Sox.

The Braves can still win this series. I favor the Dodgers to win now though. Just my opinion.
Dave Roberts is an idiot. The Dodgers win in spite of his heavy handed by the numbers style because they have an overwhelming talent advantage over the rest of the league. Scherzer and Buehler lined up for 6 and 7 on normal rest offers some protection against a bad manager. What should be more concerning for Braves fans is Dodger bats are too good to stay quiet for an entire 7 game series. Exploding for 11 runs last night shouldn't be a surprise to anyone who has watched this team. Credit to the Braves pitching staff for mostly shutting them down, but it's asking a lot to keep it going.

The thing is...you only need to slightly quiet them for one more game. Hold them to 3-4 runs in one of the next two? I think we can take that one.
Red Sox bats have gotten cold in the worst moment, it's not like the Asstros have stellar arms out of their bullpen, BoSox just can't hit their way out of a paper bag rn.

Definitely. The Braves are a good team. A really good team. It's entirely possible I'm overselling how good the Dodgers lineup is after losing Muncy and Turner. Still a good lineup, but these are backups to the guys who won 105.

Breaking: Max Scherzer will not start Game 6 of the NLCS tomorrow against the Braves.

:lol Putting Max out there to save game 5 doesn't look like a stroke of genius anymore.

Roberts is not good at managing his bullpen.
HOU hitting with men on and two outs is ridiculous this postseason...sounds fishy to me.
So the Braves will face Buehler tonight instead. They were able to hit off of him pretty well the last time. I can't take another Braves choke this time around. Neither can my dog.
3 straight punchouts after Luke Jackson tried to get the Dodgers back in the game. Gotta tip your hat and :applause: Matzek
I couldn't have been more wrong about everything I said. Dodgers got whooped. Congrats Braves

I will 100% root the Braves thanks to the GM. If they win, it will feel like a part of Blue Jays also wins. :D
There really is something special about this Braves team.
Yep, got hot right at the right moment. Series isn't over by a long shot but they've been proving all the naysayers (including me) wrong. Glad to see Rosario killing other teams besides my White Sox lol

It’s not just right now though. We’re 44-22 since august 1st including the postseason.
It’s been almost 3 months of excellent baseball. Just a completely different team than the one from the first half.
