This. But there are new studies coming out that basically say HIV isn't contracted like normal STDs, there is still a lot modern science doesn't understand about it.

Sorry for calling you a douche, dude, I might have overreacted - in Europe, it's still a common prejudice that the sex ed in the USA is quaint, at least. You're one of the few people I argued with that can actually back up their arguments with factual evidence, so kudos to you. Still, I just hate to see people soft-paddling the risk of HIV-infection through unprotected sex. I think it's an unusual sexual behaviour for heterosexual couples to just have ******l intercourse and, for example, no oral sex at all. Plus, new research shows a higher probability of an infection through unprotected sex.

I think that you misinterpreted what I was saying. I was only saying that it was unlikely that he got it from a chick. I wasn't advocating unprotected sex in any way. I was just saying that you'd have to be a fool to think that it wasn't possible that he got it from a dude or IV drugs only because it is more likely statistically.
