You know, more and more I'm beginning to think that the Internet is a bad idea. Used to be that in order for your voice/opinion to be heard, you needed to be exceptional in some way or have some sort of perceivable talent. Now, any idiot with a modem connection can spew whatever stupidity is brewing in his brain and he won't have a shortage of like-minded dunces to agree with him.

everybody's gonna get their 15 mins of fame
and I do think conspiracy types have been emboldened by internet cause they probably perceive more ppl out there than in reality actually agree with them
While I agree most conspiracy theories are ill-founded and plausibly false, all of them can't be complete and total bullshit. Whether or not we believe them to be true/false is irrelevant, what's important and actually matters is are they in-fact true or false.

Look closely at pop culture over the last say 5-8 years and so and tell me that there isn't a cultural debate going on about this exact issue. One of my professors argued that there is now a debate raging about whether or not some totalitarian philosophies are actually beneficial to the existence of a state. Not the idea of true total media control centralized by the government, but more the idea that media control should be in the hands of people who are qualified. Interesting stuff.

I think it's almost tautological that totalitarian philosophies would benefit preservation of the state but that is interesting. Can you hook a brother up with some good articles or papers to read?
Pride is their ultimate motivation. That would explain the "in your face" facet (movies, music, media, etc). They take pleasure in doing it right in front of us, and when all is said and done looking back, we'll come to the grim realization all the signs were blatantly in sight, and we were either too naive, ignorant or drowning in denial to stop it.
Obviously. Had I just gone to see The Dark Knight Rises and noticed the words "Aurora" and then "Sandy Hook", I clearly then would have had the knowledge to go and prevent those shootings.
Awesome, they're planting these hints to either:
Drop us clues to see if we can prevent the tragedies in time because they like playing sick and twisted games like this with society.
or
They're subliminal messages hidden in films to trigger a shooter to carry out the shootings (Project MKUltra).

No, you're just not seeing the bigger picture and making yourself look like a jackass in the process.
I'm not referring to the Sandy Hook incident specifically, I'm just saying in general.

There are some that are actually true. The problem is these Internet wackos try and turn every single story into a conspiracy theory by ignoring/dismissing everything that goes against it and also twist and stretch many others to fit into their conspiracies.

I was simply making a joke... I was reading about people who were saying such things and also other reasons (TDKR triggered those people to do those shootings for example). For pride? Yeah, they hold pride so highly and would risk so much for it. Rub it all in our faces and then what? We finally find out and there's chaos or maybe we're all brainwashed by then or have little to no power to do anything about it? All these plots with so many people involved and everything running so smoothly with no leaks or screw ups? It's awfully hard to keep a secret so big especially with so many people involved, and then you throw in that they're also handing out clues all along? The gov't has so many problems and bungled so many things, and they have many people who scrutinize every little thing they do, but they can orchestrate this grand plot having us all fooled all the while dropping hints? Bravo, gubment, bravo.
People criticize the government to no end, but then think they could pull off some gigantic, nefarious plot all the while dropping hints here and there while laughing behind our backs with maniacal laughter...

Whatever.
If it's anything, the internet allows information that usually go unreported by the media to be heard and allows the people to voice their opinion on a subject that will be heard by many other people. Before, this right was something only the media, celebrities, politicians, etc. (aka rich people) had access to. Now the majority of the population finally has a voice.
Conspiracy theory is a form of investigative journalism; I don't see anything wrong with questioning anamolies that usually are released through the media.
I think the act of questioning has been so distorted and the dependence on the media has been so ingrained that many people will no longer question what is being told.
In fact, if you do question, then you are considered "delusional" and like you said it, "dunce."
But I like the fact they are raising questions even though some of them are wrong; usually the ones that are full of sh*t are the ones nobody will take seriously, it is the ones that hit a bit too close to home that the government is scared of.
A true Democracy requires discourse (even if the person raising the question is wrong), not just one take on a subject from a widely controlled media.

I didn't ask for pictures; I asked for videos. My premise remains: these are robotic child actors spitting out script lines.
I am asking for proof; surely if 27 people died someone on the scene must be a bit traumatized and can't simply fake this sh*t right ..
Where's the video?

No, conspiracy theory is a form of douchebaggery. If you were an investigative journalist, you would be in Sandy Hook right now conducting interviews with law enforcement, school officials, families, etc. Instead, you're on a message board coming off a completely clueless and insensitive dunce. What is your particular conspiracy theory exactly? From what I gather here it looks like you're trying to convince people that the massacre didn't happen and some government agency or body hired child actors to read scripts.
According to your journalistic investigation, what are the particular agencies that were involved in this hoax? I mean something like this would require a whole town, state, and the federal government's participation as well as the media, law enforcement, etc. Who benefits from this?
I mean, you have thought this through haven't you? This thread and its content aren't just the copy & pasted mental diarrhea of some internet loser, right? This is the result of a thorough and well-documented investigation, amirite?

If I was in Sandy Hook as a reporter, I would do what every reporter does: stick a thumb up my a*s and report what was being told like a parrot.
Investigative reporting digs deeper than what is being reported. The "professional" journalism you speak of is just pure bullsh*t. This is why I compare the investigative (REAL) reporting to conspiracy theorists: they are asking questions, finding anamolies, doing further research, and creatively coming up with different hypothesis when they come across an anamoly. There is no technique in the reporting going on in the media: these so called professionals are basically riding on some gossip worthy of TMZ and reporting it. That's it. That's their technique.
Sadly anyone who attempts this kind of reporting will either get fired or be label as a conspiracy theorist. It is a lost art.
If your journalist professor supports this kind of reporting, you need to find a better education homie.

So basically you took the long way of admitting you're talking out of your ass, or more likely, copy & pasting someone else's bullshit. I asked you point blank- what is your theory on what occurred (or didn't), who specifically was involved, who benefited, and what do you have to back up these assertions.
It's really pretty simple stuff. I'm going to sleep and I fully expect you to dodge the questions, but hey maybe I'll be surprised. Have a great night, make sure the government or illuminati doesn't send some brainwashed assassin to your home to silence you (hopefully your hometown doesn't appear in any recent film releases).

The proof is still on your side.

Where are the videos of the traumatic witnesses in the shooting. Sadly, there is only one crying scene and the guy literally had to work up a sad face before they turned on the camera.
