Re: LeBron travelled twice in the last play..
Are you saying the NBA has better officiating?! Lol please stop.:lol
I watch college ball religiously....more than the NBA. College officials are nowhere near as good. You can argue you like the rules of the game more in college, but you have to be an idiot to think the officials themselves are better.
Re: LeBron travelled twice in the last play..
i hate lebron, but that wasnt a travel.
atleast by nba standards.
never has been called and of course it isnt called on this play
so don't use the "travel" excuse.
You know it is crystal clear when Cavs fans are defending James. :oldlol:
Re: LeBron travelled twice in the last play..
He sure as hell can't perform a clutch play within the rules of the game. He's not Paul George....
George wasn't fouled by wade...yet he gets 3 shots.
Re: LeBron travelled twice in the last play..
Seriously, I pity the LeBron haters. SERIOUSLY. Making up shit every fucking game.. :facepalm
SAYING THAT IS A TRAVEL IS LIKE SAYING WADE SHOULD'VE BEEN CALLED FOR A FLAGRANT AGAINST GEORGE.

I feel like officials in the NBA tend to be more obviously biased one way or the other (usually for the home team) than the average collegiate official.
But, from a standpoint of ability and skill in officiating, being able to see the action clearly, etc., it's not close. The NBA officials are usually far superior at their craft.
I've seen things happen in big college games that would crash ISH if they happened even in the regular season. Those guys can be really, really bad at their jobs. Not necessarily shady or underhanded... Just unable to perform at an acceptable level.
Re: LeBron travelled twice in the last play..
No ref is ever going to call that. Even in college/high school, I don't think that gets called as a travel.

For all those who think thats a travel look at this video
Look at tihs video in the slow motion you will see what i mean and no one will ever argue against hakeem.

This coming from an Aug 2012 kid....
NBA officiating is more biased and not as good in college. Comments in YouTube vids of Bron Stan's even saying its a travel. Shocker.
No one is arguing that it wouldn't be called. We're saying that by NBA rules, it should be called. League is as fake as WWE, so you shouldn't expect it to be called.

Rightly so. Because it wasn't a travel.

i know right.
this has never been called a travel, so i dont know why there is such a long thread on it now.

There are at least 10 charge calls per year that are so bad, if it happened in the NBA, the ref would be sent to the NBDL. lol
As far as NBA refs being more biased towards home teams, I have seen college refs get really shook because of the raucous home crowd. I will even admit it happens more than few times per year to the benefit of my Spartans. I think the NBA problem is more of a star thing rather than a scared of the crowd thing like in college.
I know a lot of people dislike Dan Dakich, but I love him because he's one of the only guys (NBA or college) who calls out refs (and players) continuously. It's hilarious.
Re: LeBron travelled twice in the last play..
The steps before the first bounce is a travel but it's understandably not called because it's very fast. Happens a lot in every game and very seldom called.
I don't see where the second travel is...
Re: LeBron travelled twice in the last play..
The step before dribbling never gets called, and even if you count his gather step (which isn't to be counted) he only took 2 steps later.
That's right, I'm watching it. The first step is travelling, according to Fiba rules. They are now considering to change it. His two-step was alright though, he dribbled left and finished left, no travelling there.
