Re: U.S. drone strike kills 30 pine nut farm workers in Afghanistan
muslims in america are not the biggest leeches and moochers, but muslims are in canada and europe, because of the welfare and benefit system they have there, paid for with very high taxes.... by the citizens of europe!
that is why so many of them want to go to europe and not the united states, they know they will have to work in the US.
also, they can't pull their shit in the US, since everyone have guns, and won't put up with their bullshit and provocative ways and manners.
The real reason people (not just muslims) are fleeing the middle east is because their home countries have been turned into terrorist infested failed states thanks to the "war on terror".
If you have ever looked at a map, it should be blatantly obvious why Europe is getting all of these refugees/migrants rather than the US. Most of these people would be delighted to come to the US, and if Iraq was in Central America rather than the Middle East those people would be coming here. Do people fleeing violence in El Salvador and Nicaragua go to Europe or the USA?
Anyway, thats funny that you think that "everyone having guns" is going to deter people who are fleeing failed states with daily drone bombings and terrorist groups like ISIS
Also funny that anyone thinks that the US "wont put up with their bullshit and provocative ways and manners" (of muslims). Have you been paying any attention whatsoever during the past decade? The SJWs in this country (who gain more and more influence by the day) would LOVE to put up with the bullshit and provocative ways of hardcore muslims, and they would love to lecture people like you about why you need to put up with it too.
Drone strikes are a lot cheaper than putting boots on the ground, but I'm with you. We're going to need the money to feed all these hungry mouths that keep crossing the border on a daily basis.
It's not a matter of cost, it's whether or not we need to keep the spending on these programs up when there's no real return. We already spy on our own citizens and just about everyone in the country tbh. I never brought that up, stop projecting me as some bleeding heart libtard when I don't want any more illegals coming in.

Even if Afghan lives are insignificant to you....
Military men should want to minimize collateral damage for their own consciences' welfare.
Re: U.S. drone strike kills 30 pine nut farm workers in Afghanistan
Al-Qaeda did the same thing. They thought the WTC were missile silos. Honest mistake. Just gotta move on.

I think, as displayed in this thread, people go out of their way to provide justifications for these sorts of incidents. You'd think that they would conduct a real assessment of the toll of these sorts of attacks, and it would take a toll on their conscience. I'm sure some are bothered, but I'm also sure that many quickly move on because it doesn't touch their personal lives and there is little . accountability

Precisely why I'm not a pine nut farmer.

Even if one does not have a conscience and doesn't care about the lives lost or damage done in foreign lands, if one cares about America it's still objectionable. There's already so much propaganda in those regions about how America is the cause of all their problems and stuff like this just adds fuel to that fire.

I absolutely agree... it is extremely objectionable. Unfortunately, some seem to share the sentiments of individuals like this:

So what’s the premise of this thread? That Obama or Trump or any commander in chief that this has happened under is a shitty commander in chief? Tell us something we don’t know.
This has little to do with Trump or Obama as our drone program generally operates independently of their involvement. The crux of the thread seems to be that we are making grave mistakes, taking innocent lives in foreign countries, and are quick to dismiss the tragedy of it all. We need more accountability. Let's start with who authorized the strike and how the mistake was made.
We can start wherever we want, but let’s not try and kid ourselves. We know that it will only get worse before it gets better.

Re: U.S. drone strike kills 30 pine nut farm workers in Afghanistan
That's precisely the problem; these mistakes are commonplace, and there is little oversight and accountability. There was little under Bush and Obama, and there is little now. Our American armed forces are consistently taking innocent lives in foreign countries due to mistakes and people dismiss it as "insignificant" because they don't particularly care about those people and they evidently don't value their lives. The kicker is that you see no way of addressing this other than the strawman you set up.
Let's hear your solutions to preventing these mistakes.
