That has been thoroughly debunked. Deepseek is some cheap open AI and uses $5b in nvidia chips.

Trump says he wanted to give US auto-makers an extra month to prepare for the higher costs they will face. This is going to kill US auto.
And the one area I have always acknowledged the US economy struggled with during the Biden admin? Home prices. With the Trump tariffs home prices are expected to go up even further. Good news for home owners I guess. Horrible news for renters.

He's obviously showing early signs of dementia, it affects people differently, with Biden he would lose his train of thought and looked confused. Trump's symptoms are that he rambles incoherently and he's all over the place, sometimes on both sides of an issue. I doubt he finishes up his term. Maybe we should stop voting for dinosaurs?

Not planning to sell my house anytime soon but higher home prices would also mean higher property tax and insurance.

but regardless, there's plenty of strong evidence that deepseek's R1 is as just as good as the top AI models in the US while only requiring a small fraction of the power. Nvidia can export/sell GPUs to China, but only the lesser models like the H20. US companies are using H100 and A100 chips. That doesn't mean China doesn't have the higher end ones, they do but in very limited numbers...nowhere close to the US. R1 is open source and very transparent, so you can actually check for yourself the power requirements.
Deepseek is the top ai right now whether you like it or not, with openai and google not too far behind. We aren’t doing ourselves any favors trying to deny this and not taking deepseek as a serious threat like they aren’t the top dogs right now. The ai race is the only thing that matters right now, in the future medical research, nuclear energy, co2 conversion(check out project moxie if you don’t know about this), even research in Yamanaka Factors will be mostly headed by ai. But that’s all after we plateau on ai research,right now it should be all hands on deck on ainot playing grabass with tariffs.

Yeah, but nvda was trending upwards before the reporting, and deepseek was way back in jan or early feb. The reporting crushed all their projections and they're free falling.
Tesla is in free fall.
This is not a "buy low" moment for Nvidia or any other stock. This is the start for a perceived recession and a very rough couple of years for everyone. There is a ton more room to go lower and it will go lower.
