Re: Chauncey Billiups and Rozier got arrested by the FBI on gambling charges.
What gives anyone the impression this is the end of Silver? I'd love to see it, but I don't buy that.
Re: Chauncey Billiups and Rozier got arrested by the FBI on gambling charges.
30 for 30 on the 2020's gambling ring will only rival a 30 for 30 NBA Crack Epidemic episode (which we're still waiting on.)

I don't see it either.
These owners probably love the money that's pouring in because of gambling. It was always going to come with it's own set of risks. Even if Silver takes the fall he's probably going out with a golden parachute. This is what they all wanted. They will act like they're appalled and say all the right things but in reality I doubt any of them give a flying fukk.
And no this isn't an indictment on gambling itself. The issue isn't gambling, it's greed. This is no different than insider trading and market manipulation. Having said that I do think you can make the argument that the leagues shouldn't be endorsing it or promoting it.

Will Billups be removed from the HOF?

Isn't insider information what yall did on the stock market to rake billions off people? And then got a slap on the wrist on some Jordan Belfort shit. :lol These dummies even with tiny pots by comparison were just too sloppy to get caught.
Re: Chauncey Billiups and Rozier got arrested by the FBI on gambling charges.
The NBA knew about it this it looks like, I think they know full well that LeBron and other players are juicing too, they have no interest in investigating it because it would be bad for the league (steroid scandal devastated the popularity of baseball for many years).
Re: Chauncey Billiups and Rozier got arrested by the FBI on gambling charges.
How much money is enough? Billups earns $4.7M every year; that's probably in the 99.9% percentile.
The only thing I can think of is the coach today is surrounded by bench players who earn $20M a year, so jealousy/competition instinct may take hold.

Or it could be as simple as it being easy money to do nothing. Doesn’t always have to be this something deep.
