Attempting call into question the (often completely unjust) negative perception around something is not at all the same as calling something into existence. Again, it only looks that way to someone who hates, and will always hate, whatever the thing is that is being discussed.

Not continuing to hate something you've been told to hate isn't suspect. If a real threat is posed to us in the future then it can be addressed but since there isn't..wouldn't it be better to soften these perceptions and understand these people better for future diplomacy?

I know how you tend to take things so again...this does not mean we should invoke Sharia Law here or that we should allow it to happen if it does happen to start to take place.
