LeBron can still play but the days of him playing heavy minutes are over. Lakers need to tarde him and if he wants another shot at a last title, he needs to reevaluate himself and accept a 6th man role on a title ready team.
I really want to trade LeBron but he has a no trade clause so unfortunately we’re stuck with him for one more season. It’s Lukas team and there can be no doubt about that whatsoever if we want to keep Luka in LA past 2026.
Re: (3) Lakers vs. (6) Timberwolves First Round Playoff Series Thread
This has been the most disappointing series in the first round in terms of competitiveness and talent. Most people expected this to go 6-7 games. It was over in 5.
Luka's health caught up to him again and somewhere Nico is at home fist pumping while he's reading death threat letters from Mavs fans.
LeBron shrank in the 4th showing his age one of the few times this season.
Lakers let Gobert have a career playoff night.
Wolves shot 7-47 from three and handed the game on a platter to the Lakers and they still couldn't take it.

Didn't Lebron have people around collecting footage so he could do a "Last Dance" kind of documentary when the Lakers won the chip?
LeBron finished with the worse +/- on the team tonight. -14. Wooof.
Wolves wanted to give them the game and neither Lebron nor Luka could take it. That 4th quarter basically sums up the whole series. The Lakers just couldn't find offense from their best players vs. a low IQ team when they had the W almost handed to them for 3 games in a row. Nico was right about Luka's poor conditioning.
Should've won this in 6 instead they get eliminated in 5. We knew the Wolves had the edge in the paint but we also knew they're low IQ and led by an immature Edwards who still doesn't see the game properly and doesn't know how to handle double teams consistently and the big French guy in the middle wasn't going to punish that lack of size for most of the series.
At we should get another WCF and a potential Finals run out of Steph which I'll be happy to root for. Warriors will match up better with this Wolves team.
Re: (3) Lakers vs. (6) Timberwolves First Round Playoff Series Thread
Gotta give props to Gobert. Edwards allergic to driving to the rim tonight. LOL at Lebron and his acting.

Lebron shrinking in the 4th quarter isn’t new. He’s been doing that his whole career.

They got enough footage to make a LeBron the last flop documentary. That man playing like he wanna transition to an acting career post basketball. Did y’all see LeBron fly 10ft after running into Donte?

Re: (3) Lakers vs. (6) Timberwolves First Round Playoff Series Thread
Congrats to the Wolves. Gobert shut a lot of people up last night, Randle was great in the clutch. How the Lakers could lose at home to team who shot that badly is inconceivable. JJ might end up being a good coach but he was appalling in this series. Got everything wrong every step of the way. Maybe he should return to podcasting. I've said enough about Luka already. AR-15? An average role player when the lights are on. LeBron looked tired and frustrated. He should make next season his last, he would be good at it but I can't see him accepting being a 25 minute off the bench role player for a contender so he should go out on top.
The Wolves aren't the finished article, they can still improve but the Lakers? This season and the JJ/Luka experiment has been an abysmal failure. The roster is a horrible mess. Pelinka executive of the year? Give me a ****ing break.

Wolves won this series at all the margins. It basically boiled down to the Wolves simply having more size/athleticism/energy so they dominated possessions/rebounding, and closed 4th quarters with high energy/depth.
Everyone wants to only talk about the star players, but this series really had nothing to do with the star players.
