Lakers just need a half decent center and it's wraps for the rest of the league
Would need a half decent coach to play him

Don't worry, the blame game will start on the coach for next season. This year is poor roster construction. If Luka doesn't average 35 if they don't win next season, he'll be on the list as well.
Strange thing is the Rudy scored more points and got almost as many rebounds as he had in games 1-4 combined.
And he only had what 22 points?
Its absolutely shocking how bad he is.
Re: (3) Lakers vs. (6) Timberwolves First Round Playoff Series Thread
His entire Lakers career with the exception of the 2020 postseason where he got over 4 months of rest to recuperate his body before the playoffs, he's been a shell of his prime self. The decline was in full effect starting in 2018-19 but people refused to see it. The general statistical inflation helped his case. People saw similar numbers and assumed a similar level of play but his impact fell off dramatically.
The weirdest thing you see on forums like this is people calling him a top 5 player but then refusing to hold him to that standard.

The series would be headed back to minnesota if he was any worse. :facepalm

When can we expect you to apologize?
One will be expected within 72 hours. Or we're not paying your toll anymore when we cross the bridge.
Re: (3) Lakers vs. (6) Timberwolves First Round Playoff Series Thread
Sorry LeBron…. Maybe next year.
Hopefully you retire

Sometimes I think Gobert throws when he decides then when the opponent doesn't expect it he just turns it on. He looks like an amateur out there sometimes but then he'll just destroy and obliterate when the time comes. I know it makes no sense but that's what it looks like.
Re: (3) Lakers vs. (6) Timberwolves First Round Playoff Series Thread
It helps when your teammatesvpass you the ball and your coach keaves you in the game. He probably would have been pulled again last night if not for foul trouble to mcdaniels and randle
Re: (3) Lakers vs. (6) Timberwolves First Round Playoff Series Thread
Lakers held Anthony Edwards to 15 points in Game 5
Randle and Gobert exposed the Lakers front court
Re: (3) Lakers vs. (6) Timberwolves First Round Playoff Series Thread
Playoffs just got a lot more interesting as of yesterday :)

The people blaming JJ or Bron or Luka for this series are delusional. But especially JJ. Sure he ran the starters into the ground to try to win game 3(or 4?) and it backfired but it wasn't a bad option.

Tends to happen when you're being guarded by someone half a foot shorter than you. So many bigs look at lower levels cuz they're towering over their peers. Rudy can't do it vs a legit big. That's OK because it's not his game or role. He's a great rim protector who isn't great in space but for his enormous frame does a damn good job.
Of course he's going to get killed in iso at the 3 pt line. Old man Harden blew by this year's DPOY for a game winning bucket in the paint. Hali blew by Giannis to send him home(much more egregious). But I don't hear a peep about those guys getting exposed or being overrated like I do for Rudy.

If that was true the lakers would have kept going at gobert in space lile theyvtried to do early in the series. They didnt because he came out on top more than he was exposed or abused
