He is out there tonight at the 4 spot.
He's a beast and is just too versatile.
And the versatility doesn't just come into play when his PF is injured. It's important at all times during a game, because Lebron can switch off on all picks and on all fast breaks and broken plays and will never be in a mismatch.

Both LeBron and Wade are two of the best perimeter defenders in the game. However, they are also relied upon to score A LOT, so obviously they are going to be taking plays off here and there on the defensive side of the ball. That's why I really hate when people try to compare the defense of an elite scorer, to that of a specialist.

Definitely not. His sole presence makes them think twice before going for a layup. He doesn't need to foul a lot either, he's really quick for his size, great foot speed, he can easily recover back on his man even after beaten on the initial dribble.
Even though the "LeBron can guard all 5 positions" is simply a hyperbole all these years, He's a fantastic defender. Keep in mind that there is a difference between superstars and defensive specialists.
