Nah, I don't think anyone can say he is a coward, he has his own preferences and you have to respect them, but he is not being very smart and mature about it and that's what is pissing people off.
Re: Dwight Howard may be resisting a trade to the Bulls
Apparently it is rocket science...people seriously saying a deal based around Deng + Boozer is better than a deal based around Bynum.
Deng...BOOZER...and I guess 7 footers with serious skills just grow on trees.
:facepalm
Use logic.....
Why trade away a player for someone who has yet to play over 40 plus games in his career?
That's what you are not understanding...Orlando would rather have Boozer/Deng/Asik (a defensive 7 footer) and draft picks than a damn good player like Bynum who is injury prone...
It's that simple...
Re: Dwight Howard may be resisting a trade to the Bulls
It was proven false, an Adidas rep even said them playing on the same team would bring good results for the business.
So an Adidas rep denied denied trying to impact the decision of an NBA player, makes sense.

Exactly, Bynum is what? 23-24? Hes already getting injections in both knees. And Thats what makes Orlando apprehensive and rightfully so.
Re: Dwight Howard may be resisting a trade to the Bulls
If Howard doesn't want to be team up with another superstar and stay with his team, i respect that. Right move for a superstar. And I'm a bulls fan.
But if he goes somewhere instead of Chicago and team up with another superstar, then he is just a dumbass. Because Bulls roster fits him perfectly.

Um, what? Bynum played 46 games in 2005-06, 82 games in 2006-07, 50 games in 2008-09, 65 games in 2009-10, and 54 games in 2010-11.
Re: Dwight Howard may be resisting a trade to the Bulls
It could be that he is jealous of Rose for winning MVP and taking over Adidas.
Re: Dwight Howard may be resisting a trade to the Bulls
There was a report the other day saying Howard would get a $400 Million Deal with Adidas only in Brooklyn/NY.
If it's true Dwight's ($400 mill) shoe deal in Brooklyn is larger than DRose's, plus Russian billionaire promi$e$, can't blame D12 for move
Re: Dwight Howard may be resisting a trade to the Bulls
Question: Should the Bulls make that trade even without Howard agreeing to an extension with the hopes of convincing him while he's here? You look at that trade and we'd be a trading a backup center in Asik, an overpaid PF in Boozer who really isn't that much if better at all then his backup Gibson, and Deng. How bad would it be losing all those guys if Howard didn't resign? Although Asik is one of the best backup centers in the league, he's still a backup center that is replaceable. Going from Boozer to Gibson might actually be an upgrade and we shed a huge salary, who IMO doesn't really add much more impact then Gibson considering his defensive deficiencies. Losing Deng is bad, who IMO is much better then Hedo, and his defense would definitely be missed, but at least we'd still have a decent starting SF in Hedo.
So I don't think losing Asik or Boozer would really have much of an impact at all, but losing Deng would. So I can simplify it to is losing Deng and downgrading from him to Hedo worth bringing in Howard for at least the rest of the year to compete for a title and trying to convince him to stay?
The Bulls are probably the favorites with this trade and if they win a title, is there really any chance of Howard leaving? And even if they don't win a title but get pretty far, won't there be a good chance that Howard will at least exercise his option for next year? And if they win a title and the slim chance of Howard still leaving does happen, who cares? They got a title out of it.
The one other thing to think about is chemistry, which the Bulls have a great deal of right now. But I have my doubts that this team wouldn't develop a great deal of chemistry.
